Ski into Love, starring Esther Yu, Lin Yi, Fei Qi Ming, Jenny Zeng, Xia Hao Ran, and Hu Wen Xuan, has announced its premiere date as March 11.
The C-drama is adapted from the Chinese novel of the same name. The story unfolds as an inspiring journey of young individuals who find healing and strength while pursuing their dreams and bravely rising above the challenges.
The comic artist Wei Zhi (Esther Yu) unexpectedly gets caught up in a scandal, leading her company to confiscate her pen name and the copyrights to her works. In a state of dejection, she happens to come across a snowboarding video and is deeply moved by the fearless spirit of the snowboarders. Inspired, she decides to start anew with snowboarding as the theme of her creation. She travels to Beishan Ski Resort for field research and encounters the coach, Shan Chong (Lin Yi). Through the ups and downs of her snowboarding practice, Wei Zhi hones her resilience.
Shan Chong was once a pro snowboarder, but after his sister's accident and his own injury, he was compelled to retire due to his parents' strong insistence. However, deep in his heart, he never let go of his passion for snowboarding.
Seeing Wei Zhi's unwavering determination and relentless drive to pursue her passion, Shan Chong decides to return to training and fight for his love of the sport and the honor he once sought.
It is reported that to realistically bring to life the setting of ice and snow and the dynamics of skiing, the production team traveled to numerous places to conduct on-location filming at multiple sites, including Beidahu Ski Resort in Jilin, Songhua Lake Ski Resort in Jilin, Silk Road International Ski Resort in Urumqi, Jikepulin International Ski Resort in Altay, Hemu Scenic Area in Altay, as well as Xiamen and other locations.
Ski into Love premiers on March 11 and will be streaming on YOUKU and Netflix.
