Go Kyung Pyo on his on-screen character in 'Undercover Miss Hong'

Go Kyung Pyo shares thoughts on Undercover Miss Hong.

Undercover Miss Hong follows Hong Geum Bo (Park Shin Hye), an elite supervisor for the Financial Supervisory Service, who goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee at a securities firm after detecting suspicious fund flows.

Go Kyung Pyo introduced his character, saying, "The character I play, Shin Jung Woo, is cool-headed and somewhat cynical. He approaches events with values different from those of the protagonist, Hong Geum Bo, and he is someone with clear personal objectives. That's why I wanted to present him in a way that clearly contrasts with her." 

He added, "He's quite different from me (in terms of values and such). Because of that, I put a lot of thought into the character and expressed him in a fun way. I hope viewers will enjoy my transformation and look upon Jung Woo with affection."

Regarding the filming vibe and on-set chemistry, he said, "Every actor I meet on set has been a source of support for me at every moment, and I feel that there is so much to learn from my colleagues. I'm very grateful," expressing his thanks. "Since we filmed it with such enjoyment, if viewers watch it enjoyably, every line and every scene will be remembered as a memorable line and a memorable moment."

Lastly, he encouraged viewers to tune in, saying, "This is a project that both the cast and the production team put their heart and soul into. I believe it's a work that can deliver warm empathy and enjoyment to viewers. I ask for lots of love and interest." He also shared highlights of the drama: "I hope you'll pay close attention to the chemistry between Geum Bo and many other characters."

Undercover Miss Hong premieres on January 17. The K-drama will be available to stream on Netflix.
