
Actor Im Joo Hwan becomes the new artist under Zo In Sung and Cha Tae Hyun's newly established agency.
On April 20, Basecamp Company revealed that Im Joo Hwan will start anew with their agency.
The agency stated, "We welcome actor Im Joo Hwan, who has been recognized for his acting skills through various works, as our new family member. We will actively support the actor in a wide range of activities. We ask for your interest and support for actor Im Joo Hwan, who will have a new start with Basecamp Company."
Im Joo Hwan reportedly signed with Basecamp Company out of his long-standing trust and friendship with the agency's founders.
Im Joo Hwan's close friendship with Zo In Sung and Cha Tae Hyun was showcased through his appearances and assistance on their entertainment program, Unexpected Business. His helpful presence across two seasons led to him being labeled the program's indispensable all-around worker.
Zo In Sung and Cha Tae Hyun announced the establishment of their agency, Basecamp Company, on April 18. Less than a week later, besides managing themselves as founders, they revealed Jin Ki Joo as their first official signing. Im Joo Hwan has now been announced as the agency's second official artist.
Im Joo Hwan started his acting career in 2004. He is best known for being part of the K-dramas The Spies Who Loved Me, The Game: Towards Zero, The Bride of Habaek, Uncontrollably Fond, Oh My Ghost, Ugly Alert, The Snow Queen, and more.
He is currently starring as Philip, a documentary photographer, in the stage play The Pride.
There is no confirmation yet on the return of Im Joo Hwan to the K-drama scene. The actor was last seen in the 2022 series Three Bold Siblings, wherein he worked alongside Lee Ha Na, Lee Tae Sung, Kim So Eun, Lee Yoo Jin, and Kim Seung Soo.
