Ji Sung turns over a new leaf and restores justice in The Judge Returns.

The production team of The Judge Returns second teaser, giving a glimpse of Lee Han Young's transformation.

The Judge Returns follows a corrupt judge named Lee Han Young (Ji Sung), who had lived as a slave to a powerful law firm, as he returns 10 years into the past and chooses to punish evil and realize justice.

The teaser opens with Lee Han Young saying, "In my previous life, I made wrong judgments in court, and that became a nightmare." This is followed by the desperate cry of prosecutor Kim Jin Ah (Won Jin A), "Judge, you absolutely can't do this alone," along with a shot of Han Young washing blood from his hands — hinting that he has been driven to a dead end.

After suffering an accident and returning ten years into the past, to the year 2025, Han Young goes straight up against the villains. Kang Shin Jin's (Park Hee Soon) intense gaze and his thought, "Interesting, this guy," foreshadow a fierce confrontation between the two. In addition, Shin Jin's words — "So, how does it feel to have seen the real power of the Republic of Korea?" — heard over a pile of cash, add weight to the tense narrative set to unfold.

Meanwhile, in his new life, Han Young seeks the path of justice, which leads to a scene of him driving while shouting "Execute," foreshadowing the exhilarating eradication of evil. As he steels his resolve, declaring, "In this life, your fate will be decided by me," someone asks him, "Won't you regret it?" Han Young responds, "If only I can catch you, gladly," and, with a playful expression, aims a gun — raising expectations for a fast-paced turn of events.

Confronting great evils head-on and delivering refreshing catharsis, The Judge Returns promises to immerse viewers through Han Young's bold choices and decisive actions, using his second chance at life to serve justice.

The Judge Returns is coming on January 2, 2026. The K-drama will be streaming on HBO Max.
