ENA has dropped a new trailer for its upcoming drama Climax.

Climax follows prosecutor Bang Tae Seop (Ju Ji Hoon), who plunges into a cartel of power to rise to the top, and the people around him.

The trailer begins with showing Bang Tae Seop at his lowest point. "I wanted to reach the top of the world and look down on them," he says. As scenes of his struggle flash by, he adds, "To unlock that kingdom, I needed a key: Chu Sang Ah."

The spotlight then shifts to his wife, Chu Sang Ah (Ha Ji Won), an actress who used to be at the top of the industry. As tension begins to fracture their complicated marriage, Bang Tae Seop reflects, "I saw myself when I looked at her. That made me want her to be mine, and I believed I had made that happen. But lately, I'm beginning to think I was wrong."

Chu Sang Ah is shown to be equally determined to regain her former standing, declaring, "My pride has already been trampled. If getting trampled a little more can turn things around, then so be it. It's better to break than slowly fade away."

The preview also introduces Hwang Jeong Won (Nana), a key figure who disrupts the fragile balance in Bang Tae Seop and Chu Sang Ah's marriage. In one interview clip, she says, "I've admired actress Chu Sang Ah ever since I was young." But away from the cameras, she secretly serves as Bang Tae Seop's informant after he tells her, "My wife is hiding something. Find out what it is."

The rich and influential Lee Yang Mi (Cha Joo Young) is seen enjoying lavish parties while also intimidating Chu Sang Ah. When Chu Sang Ah cautions, "Let's not take it that far," Lee Yang Mi responds coolly, "Do you really think this is the moment to be worrying about pride?" Later, with a sly smile, she says, "I have to be the one pulling the strings. I can’t bear being anyone else’s puppet."

Lastly, Kwon Jong Wook (Oh Jung Se) appears as a chaebol heir with his sights set on the throne. When he asks Bang Tae Seop why he should place his trust in him, Bang answers, "What bond is stronger than two people wanting the same thing?"

As Bang Tae Seop and Chu Sang Ah's marriage suffers cracks, she bitterly tells him that he is "only trying to use me for your grand ambitions." Lee Yang Mi then issues a chilling warning: "You still haven't seen the real Chu Sang Ah beneath that mask." The trailer closes with Bang Tae Seop's stark declaration: "My goal is to stand at the top of South Korea."
