Ju Jing Yi vs. agency war continues.
Chinese actress Ju Jing Yi was previously an artist under Shanghai Siba Culture Media Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Siba Media). The two parties have been in dispute over contract-related issues since 2024.
Previously, Siba Media filed a lawsuit against Ju Jing Yi claiming that her contract runs until 2033. On December 15, 2025, Ju Jing Yi's team issued a statement saying that her management contract with Siba Media had already been terminated in June 2024 and also accused Siba Media of forging the artist's signature and authorization.
On March 31, "Ju Jing Yi reported for tax evasion" trended on Chinese searches. According to media reports, the contractual dispute between the two sides has continued to escalate.
In images circulated and reposted by multiple Chinese netizens, a receipt issued by the Inspection Bureau of the Shanghai Taxation Bureau for reporting tax violations showed that someone filed a report regarding Ju Jing Yi's tax matters on March 30, which the bureau accepted on the same day. Another image of a letter alleged a significant discrepancy between Ju Jing Yi's 2024 tax declarations and her actual income, suggesting suspected tax evasion involving a large amount.
On March 31, the Shanghai Municipal Taxation Bureau of the State Taxation Administration issued a notice, stating, "On March 30, our bureau received a real-name report concerning tax-related matters involving Ju (name partially withheld). Since September 2025, our bureau has received multiple similar leads. After careful verification, no tax-related issues as reflected in the reports were found, and the investigation results have already been fed back to the reporting party."
On March 31, a statement was released by Ju Jing Yi's side, which mentioned that over the past nearly half a year, Shanghai Siba Culture Media Group Co., Ltd. has frequently used the account "Siba Media" to publish "false information concerning the artist and the cases involved, in an attempt to manipulate public opinion and stifle the artist's acting career."
The official statement from Ju Jing Yi's side noted that the dispute case between her and Siba Media is currently under trial, stating: "We have consistently and firmly opposed all malicious acts such as hyping up the case, guiding public opinion, interfering with judicial procedures, and misleading regulatory authorities."
It also stated that Ju Jing Yi has always "strictly abided by national laws and regulations," and has "actively fulfilled her obligations as a citizen, including tax payments, and has cooperated in completing relevant random inspections and inspection procedures."
On the same day, Shanghai Siba Culture Media Group Co., Ltd. issued a statement, stating, "Our company has noted that today (March 31), content claiming a real-name report accusing Ju Jing Yi of tax evasion has been posted online. The Weibo account 'Ju Jingyi_Official', which is controlled by Ju Jingyi, subsequently released a statement making numerous unfounded accusations against our company.
"Since a series of disputes arose between our company and Ju Jing Yi, our company has been subjected to multiple rounds of cyberbullying. Certain individuals with ulterior motives have, in an organized and premeditated manner, fabricated rumors and defamed our company, guiding Ju Jing Yi's fans (including a large number of minors) to widely repost false and negative information related to our company."
They added, "Regarding the tax-related report circulating online on March 31, our company hereby solemnly clarifies that we are not the reporting party. Any attempts to manipulate the situation and shift the blame onto our company are, in essence, acts intended to divert the focus and confuse public perception."
