Bonjour Bakery has unveiled its first teaser.
Set against the backdrop of a peaceful rural village, Bonjour Bakery is a healing baking variety program centered on Korea's first "French dessert café for senior [citizens]". It follows elderly individuals who understand the taste of life, along with the bakery family, who understand the taste of happiness as they share sweet comfort and warmth. Kim Seon Ho, Kim Hee Ae, Cha Seung Won, and Lee Ki Taek star in the show.
The newly unveiled teaser captures the cast extending a warm welcome to senior visitors at the nation's first dessert café dedicated to older guests. Kim Hee Ae sets the mood with an ID check — since entry is limited to those 65 and above — playfully remarking, "Are you really over 65? You look so young."
Out front, Kim Hee Ae charms guests through thoughtful, caring conversations, while Kim Seon Ho connects effortlessly with his relaxed and approachable demeanor. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Cha Seung Won and Lee Ki Taek work to make desserts with locally sourced ingredients. Their techniques and creations promise a unique emotional experience, giving elderly residents in the rural village the special opportunity to enjoy French desserts, many for the very first time.
Writer Kim Ran Joo stated, "Bonjour Bakery began from a memory of my father, who, after moving to the city, smiled brightly after tasting a dessert for the very first time in his life. Watching him delight like a child over a dessert that cost just a few thousand won made me realize that the happiness of the elderly is more modest than we might think."
PD Park Geun Hyung emphasized, "Through French desserts made with wholesome ingredients grown locally, we aimed to offer seniors a special experience, allowing those who eat them to feel pure happiness and share warm comfort."
Bonjour Bakery will premiere on May 8.
