Moon River tells the story of Crown Prince Lee Kang (Kang Tae Oh), who has lost his smile, and Park Dal Yi (Kim Se Jeong), a merchant who has lost part of her memories, as their souls get swapped, unleashing chaos.
The teaser begins with Crown Prince Lee Kang burning with vengeance toward Left Councillor Kim Han Cheol, while Kim Han Cheol (Jin Goo) leaves him with a chilling warning. With Lee Kang's words, "The Crown Princess is the Left Councillor's daughter anyway," one can glimpse how Kim Han Cheol, wielding absolute power, manipulates even the royal family to his own liking.
It appears that Kim Han Cheol is connected not only to the dethronement of the concubine Lee Kang once loved but also to the death of Lee Kang's mother. Kim Han Cheol heightens the tension further when he expresses hostility toward Park Dal Yi, who bears a striking resemblance to the concubine, saying coldly, "You're an eyesore."
In response, Lee Kang declares that his strategy against Kim Han Cheol will be a "head-on attack," signaling that he will confront him without retreat. Kim Han Cheol, too, mobilizes every possible means and method to realize his ambitions.
As such, the fiery charisma of Lee Kang and the icy composure of Kim Han Cheol create a powerful sense of immersion, with growing anticipation surrounding the two men’s intense confrontation — one set to shake the royal palace.
Moon River premieres on October 31. The K-drama will be coming on Viki.
