SBS unveils episode 1 preview for No Tail to Tell.

No Tail to Tell tells the story of a peculiar gumiho, Eun Ho (Kim Hye Yoon) — who, unlike the typical ones, avoids becoming human at all costs to enjoy all the fun things life has to offer — and narcissistic soccer star Kang Si Yeol (Lomon), who crosses paths with her.

The preview shows Eun Ho's "super fun" life as a nine-tailed fox, which she prefers over becoming human. As she says, "Being a nine-tailed fox, there's absolutely no time to be bored," she is seen leisurely sunbathing on the beach of a deserted island while also pursuing everything she wants — from effortlessly going up the climbing wall to doing woodwork — living life as she pleases.

Unlike Eun Ho, the hobby enthusiast with so much money and time to splurge, Kang Si Yeol balances soccer training with part-time work and refers to himself as a "poor genius". Although his friend Hyun Woo Seok (Jang Dong Joo) is currently a national team player and the top prospect, Kang Si Yeol's words — "In just a few more years, I’m really going to become a famous player" — radiate his passion and determination.

The two very different beings get acquainted through a chance encounter. Yet, from the very beginning, their interactions are strangely awkward and tense. Eun Ho looks down on Kang Si Yeol, dismissing him, and predicts his fate: "You're just going to be 'Human No. 1'. The future I've seen never changes."

Following a mysterious accident, a warning from Pagun (Joo Jin Mo) — "Your scales are tipping" — leaves Eun Ho uneasy. Eun Ho, full of the nine-tailed fox's superiority, responds, "So, I should hurry up and become human? No way!" — hinting at the changes and crises about to enter her fox life.

No Tail to Tell is set to premiere on January 16, 2026. The K-drama will be available to stream on Netflix.
