Kim Jae Yeong joins Son Suk Ku, Lee Jun Hyuk, and others as villain in new 'The Roundup' installment

Kim Jae Yeong is coming to star as a villain in the Korean action blockbuster The Roundup 5.

Kim Jae Yeong's agency, Management S, told MyDaily, "It is true that Kim Jae Yeong will appear in The Roundup 5."

Earlier, JTBC reported that The Roundup 5 has begun full-scale production and is currently in the pre-production stage with the goal of starting filming within the year. According to the report, Kim Jae Yeong was offered the role of a new villain, following The Roundup villains Yoon Kye Sang, Son Suk Ku, Lee Jun Hyuk, and Kim Mu Yeol.

The Roundup film franchise, produced, planned, and starring Ma Dong Seok himself, began in 2017 and became the first Korean film series to reach a cumulative viewer count of 40 million and the first franchise to achieve over 10 million viewers for three consecutive films. With The Roundup 5 returning two years after the previous installment, expectations are high for what the new villain, Kim Jae Yeon,g will bring.

Meanwhile, Kim Jae Yeong debuted as a model in 2011 and is famous for his role in The Judge from Hell, where he starred alongside Park Shin Hye. He is currently coming on the small screen in the Genie TV original Idol I alongside actress Choi Soo Young.
