Lee Byung Hun cast in new Korean historical action film
Kim Kyung Nam's stills from Phantom Lawyer unveiled.
Phantom Lawyer follows Shin Yi Rang (Yoo Yeon Seok), a lawyer who can see ghosts, and elite attorney Han Na Hyeon (Esom) as they use the law to resolve the grievances of some very special clients.
In the K-drama, Kim Kyung Nam plays the role of Yang Do Gyeong, the CEO of Taebaek Law Firm and the son of the law firm's de facto owner. Adept at deceit and hypocrisy, he will not hesitate to make any choice if it means protecting what is his and relentlessly works to lead Taebaek.
In the newly released stills, Yang Do Gyeong sits with his arms folded, as if watching the situation from a step back. His calm gaze and restrained expression reveal his cold, calculating nature. Behind his kind and attractive face, he seems to be concealing another identity.

To Yang Do Yyeong, Taebaek is a fortress he must protect at all costs. And for him, the one person he absolutely needs is Han Na Hyeon alone. He regards Han — who charges straight ahead toward victory — as his best partner and a comrade.
However, with the appearance of Shin Yi Rang, the entire balance collapses. By winning cases against Taebaek in completely unexpected ways — and as Han Na Hyeon begins making choices different from before as a result — Yang Do Gyeong's world eventually suffers cracks, and hence, his true nature gradually reveals itself.
The production team stated, "Yang Do Gyeong is a character who appears stable on the outside but harbors the most desire within," adding, "Kim Kyung Nam conveys the coldness behind his [the character's] expressionless face in a nuanced way, injecting tension into the drama. Please pay close attention to the variations he will create."
Phantom Lawyer will premiere on March 13. News about its global OTT is yet to come.
