Tian Xi Wei stuns in dual roles in the 'Where the Mask Ends' trailer
Twelve unveils character details of Tae San (Ma Dong Seok, aka Don Lee) and O Gwi (Park Hyung Sik).
Twelve is an action K-drama about 12 zodiac angels living in human form to protect humanity, battling against evil.
Ma Dong Seok plays Tae San, an angel with the power of the tiger and the leader of the twelve angels.
The actor commented, "I've long had the desire to take on a hero story with an Eastern aesthetic."

Tae San is a character who quietly lives in the human world while carrying the pain of having lost comrades as dear as family in a long-ago battle against the forces of evil. Beneath his strong exterior lies a deep sense of loss and responsibility.
To maximize Tae San's overwhelming presence, Ma Dong Seok personally suggested ideas for the character — ranging from his gait, to leopard-print outfits, to heavy yet agile punching actions reminiscent of a tiger's paws — and these were actually applied in filming.

Ma Dong Seok said, "My character fights alongside them [the angels] while respecting each angel's individuality and abilities, and focuses on drawing out their potential."
Park Hyung Sik transforms into the villainous O Gwi, endowed with the power of a crow, a character that threatens both the angels and the human world. After a battle with the angels, he was sealed beyond the gates of hell, but is awakened for the first time in thousands of years by Sa Min (Kim Chan hyung), who covets great power, and begins to shroud the human world in darkness. With his past memories lost, he meets the twelve angels again and gets drawn into a vortex of fate.
Park Hyung Sik remarked, "Crows are very intelligent animals, but what intrigued me was that we can't see into their inner world. I approached the character of O Gwi with the idea that it would be good to create similarly unreadable, ambiguous aspects."
Regarding the action scenes in which his on-screen character will fiercely clash with Tae San (Ma Dong Seok) and the other angels, he said, "I tried to incorporate the crow's elegant yet sharp wing movements into the action."
Director Han Yoon Sun stated, "Although he is a character who opposes the twelve angels, I wanted to make him a character who interacts with them, grows together with them, and can be loved by the viewers. I was confident he could present a character distinct from the twelve angels."
Twelve will premiere on Disney+ (select regions) on August 23 and will air a total of eight episodes.
