Nam Hyun Woo and Cha Mi Kyung are bringing their compelling performances to The Potato Lab.

The Potato Lab follows Kim Mi Kyung (Lee Sun Bin), a passionate researcher obsessed with potatoes and So Baek Ho (Kang Tae Oh), a charismatic but ruthless capitalist driven by making profits. So Baek Ho arrives at the Potato Research Center in a mountain valley, where he clashes with Kim Mi Kyeong.

In the K-drama, Nam Hyun Woo and Cha Mi Kyung portray Kwon Hee Dong, an employee at the research lab, and Chairman Wang, a powerful figure at Wonhan Retail, respectively.

Kwon Hee Dong is a naive yet passionate character brimming with enthusiasm and energy of a newbie. He maintains his cheerful demeanor 24/7, never losing his bright smile and lively spirit.

Cha Mi Kyung's character, Chairman Wang, is the head of Wonhan Retail, which has acquired the Potato Research Center under Seonnyeo Foods. She is set to showcase a charismatic presence.

Netflix has also released an official clip for the drama, giving a glimpse of the chaotic life of the Potato Research Center squad. When a voiceover asks, "What kind of work do you do there?" Kim Mi Kyung responds, "Potatoes are science." The voiceover then mockingly asks, "So you research the best way to boil potatoes?" The mood takes a shift when the team's head Bu Jae Jung (Yoo Seung Mok) exclaims in shock, "Our company's gone?"

Kim Mi Kyung unleashes her fierce persona whenever someone tries to throw shade at the research lab, not backing down even in front of So Baek Ho (Kang Tae Oh), who comes to the company as a temporary chief.

Though Kim Mi Kyung initially scoffs, "All he's good for is crunching numbers at a desk. What the hell does he know about potatoes?" she soon realizes she underestimated him, as her friend Lee Ong Ju (Kim Ga Eun) says, "Is he even human? How does he pull off everything so perfectly?"

So Baek Ho, being pragmatic and a hardcore capitalist, questions Kim Mi Kyung about what she actually got out of her efforts.

Kim responds, "It's not that there was nothing. You just don't know about it." She stays optimistic, saying, "Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not real," and "Even the tiniest of dots turn into a line if you keep drawing them. And eventually, it'll turn into a path."

The Potato Lab will premiere on March 1. The K-drama will be streaming on Netflix.
