Netflix gives a sneak peek into the upcoming Korean melodrama film Pavane.
Pavane follows young people — each living while carrying their own wounds — as they search for the light in life and the meaning of love.
This film is based on writer Park Min Gyu's novel "Pavane for a Dead Princess."
The film stars Go Ah Sung, Moon Sang Min, and Byun Yo Han in the lead roles. Director Lee Jong Pil (Samjin Company English Class) took the helm.
Go Ah Sung plays Mi Jung, a woman who, to avoid people's stares, isolates herself from the world and works in a department store parking lot.
Moon Sang Min takes on the role of Kyung Rok, a young man who has let go of his dreams and begins working in the same parking lot as Mi Jung.
Byun Yo Han plays Yo Han, a free-spirited soul who loves rock music. Yo Han serves as a helper who brings the two closer together.
The newly released trailer shows the fateful connection of the three as they first come face-to-face in a dark parking lot. Kyung Rok gets curious about the mysterious woman Mi Jung, whom the staff call "Dinosaur", and Mi Jung, who has been living a dull life, begins to see new light in her life.
The movie is set to deliver a message of long-forgotten joy and encouragement to those worn down by harsh realities — people who feel even love is a luxury.
Pavane is coming to Netflix on February 20.
Even If This Love Disappears Tonight
Even If This Love Disappears Tonight follows Seo Yun (Shin Shi Ah), whose memories reset every day, and Jae Won (Choo Young Woo), who fills her memories anew each day.
Based on the Japanese novel of the same name, which sold 1.3 million copies worldwide, the story has been adapted into a film with a Korean emotional sensibility.
The teaser begins with showing Seo Yun and Jae Won in their youth. Following the bright, blithe tone comes the sudden turn. Seo Yun suffers an accident, and her memories get reset to pre-accident the next day. As she struggles to remember, Jae Won makes a promise to "make her happy" every day, giving her new memories.
Even If This Love Disappears Tonight is coming to Netflix on February 3.
