Jeon Hye Jin, Jo Min Soo, Jung Jin Young, Jun Suk Ho, and child actress Kim Sa Rang showcase their perfect synergy during the script reading session of Riding Life.
Riding Life follows Jung Eun (Jeon Hye Jin), a passionate working mom preparing her daughter for entrance exam from a young age, who entrusts her mother, Ji Ah (Jo Min Soo), with the task of driving her daughter to the hagwon (academy).
Jeon Hye Jin plays the role of Lee Jung Eun, a working mom who refuses to fall behind in either her career or her daughter's education. She is a mother tirelessly working with hopes of paving a bright future for her daughter. The actress shared her thoughts, saying, "I think I can relate to the biggest concerns that mothers have these days."
Jo Min Soo transforms into Yoon Ji Ah, who steps into the world of hagwon (academy) rides at her daughter Jung Eun's request. She commented, "Ji Ah is like [the kind of] generation stuck inside the fence of 'family.' The stories of children, parents, and those who have lived through the years are all mixed together."
Jeon and Jo portray a realistic mother-daughter duo who believe they know each other well but actually don't.
Jung Jin Young exuded a gentle charm as he took on the role of Lee Young Wook, a college professor who ends up running academy rides for his grandchild. Jung remarked, "Many parents will find themselves moved by this story."
Jun Suk Ho plays Hong Jae Man, Jung Eun's husband. Though immature and lacking the skills to make money, Jae Man is a man who will drop everything and rush to his family when they are in need. Jeon described the character as "the kind of father, brother, and husband as you would find in anyone around you."
Riding Life will premiere on March 3. News about the K-drama's global OTT platform is yet to come.
