'Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2': Director Yoo breaks silence on new installment
Oh Jung Se has been offered a role in the new K-drama Sunning Baseball Club (literal title).
According to Ilgan Sports coverage, Oh Jung Se has emerged as the leading candidate for the main role in the upcoming TVING original Sunning Baseball Club.
In response to the report, the actor's agency, Prain TPC, shared that Sunning Baseball Club "is one of the projects he has received an offer for."
Sunning Baseball Club tells the story of married men struggling to take part in amateur baseball leagues. Oh Jung Se has reportedly received an offer to play the lead character. The series will portray ordinary married men in their 30s and 40s as they build camaraderie through their passion for baseball.
The project is drawing anticipation as another work by director Min Jin Gi following the New Recruit series. He is known for helming numerous hit productions, including Blue Tower and Salon De Holmes.
The screenplay will be written by writer Yoon Ki Young, who has worked with Min Jin Ki on New Recruit Season 3 and Season 4.
Meanwhile, Oh Jung Se is currently starring in the JTBC drama We Are All Trying Here, and will next be seen in the upcoming MBC Friday-Saturday drama Fifties Professionals, premiering on May 22, and the film Wild Sing, which is set for release next month.
Casting is currently underway for Sunning Baseball Club, with production accelerating toward a planned 2027 release. The series is expected to be released as a TVING original.
