
Wi Ha Joon will possibly be Park Min Young's male lead in the upcoming K-drama Siren.
According to media outlets on March 19, Wi Ha Joon has been chosen to be the main lead of the upcoming K-drama Siren alongside Park Min Young.
Wi Ha Joon's side hasn't responded to the casting reports. Meanwhile, Park Min Young is reviewing the offer to star in the new K-drama.
This will possibly be Wi Ha Joon's third upcoming K-drama. The actor is set to return this year in the finale of Squid Game Season 3 with Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Yim Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, and Park Gyu Young. He will also make a special cameo appearance in the upcoming K-drama Shark 2: The Storm led by Kim Min Seok, Lee Hyun Wook, Lee Jung Hyun, Bae Myung Jin, Park Jin, and Jung Da Eun.
Last year, the actor was also busy with K-dramas of different genres such as Squid Game Season 2, Gyeongseong Creature Season 2, and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon.
Siren tells the story of an insurance investigator who becomes entangled in a mysterious death at the hands of a female teacher. The investigator works at Ross Insurance. The title was derived from Greek mythology. The story will be depicted from the 1999 Fuji TV series Ice World led by Takenouchi Yutaka and Matsushima Nanako.
This will be the next project of director So Jae Hyun who is also known for creating the K-dramas The Player 2: Master of Swindlers and The Witch's Diner. Studio Dragon will produce the new K-drama.
There is no confirmation yet on the character that was offered to Wi Ha Joon.
Details regarding the broadcast channel and official air date for Siren are yet to be confirmed.
