Thanks, this show is still a stand-out for me given the complexity of the characters and how unusual their realtionship is.  I would love to see a mini-series followup to see how they handle their married future with a child, etc, given their devotion to their careers.

I am so happy that I got to read this review and a few others. I can't understand the low ratings and the bashing of OFL disguised as a criticism/review.  Those "reviewers" seem to forget that in the real world, most career women struggle with their romantic lives.  ShuYi is a correct representation of today's career woman,  excellent in their career but so clueless in their lovelife.  Some women do irrational things because of love and yes, as you pointed out, our minds are often in conflict with our hearts.  Anyways, I am just happy that I got to watch a reel of OFL and subscribed to Mango before I read those hateful comments and reviews.  It is because of Bai Lu and Dylan's portrayal of ShuYi and ShiYan that I and a lot of other people, watched OFL many, many times and became immediate Cdrama/ Bailu/ Dylan fans.  :)

Thank you for the kind words.  If you get a chance, check out the on-line novel that this show was based on.  It offers more detail into the personality for ShuYi and it's available in a couple of different translations (hint - look under title of "Accidental Love" which is what the show was originally supposed to be called).  If you enjoyed the depiction of modern career women, I also found "Our Intrepreter" starring Victoria Song to be really good as well.
