Exactly! I'm gonna keep my eye on her because I'm interested in her RR journey. I hope she picks even more interesting roles that subvert expectations, and keeps growing as an actress. Maybe she can do an actresses's brunch with our girl Xue Zi Qi (and a few others), and pick up some pointers.
There are some actresses out there with some SERIOUS aura but they do so little or basically no RR... which makes me a bit salty
It makes me more than a bit salty >.< I'm like: well, what's the point of you??? What's all that aura for if you're always starring in tradslop? We might as well transplant it onto someone else who will take the roles.
There's this one scene where he owes her a favor so she gets him to go on a date with her and that means getting them a private boat ride during a festival where she sets out hundreds of lanterns onto the water to totally not show off. And y'all.... I was fucking WEAK. I basically NEVER get to see a FL do a grand display for a ML like this!!!
Not ML getting the Tangled treatment hahaha! That sounds really romantic though 🥺 It's true that FLs, even in RRs, don't get to plan elaborate dates. I'm sure that struck a chord <3 Beautiful screenshots btw!
Now for the biggest downside, after ep 28 they have a trad arc and then FL loses p much everything she had going for her including her successful business, freedom, wealth, etc. and ML rises to the rank of super awesome guy and well, their relationship shifts onto egal, leaning more to trad. This is a huge shame because (SPOILER)
Whelp, unfortunately this kills my desire to give it a chance. Cause what do you mean I'm sitting through 28 eps of a historical with a solid romance as the subplot just for this to happen?? Downright disrespectful.
Oh and Xiao Zhan being the gorgeous crier that he is cries a LOT in this drama 😩 He really is a beauty

On Her Plate was great. I agree. I watched it a few months ago and liked the refreshing take on romance scammers.
It was soooo good! And a really timely message with all the actual romance scams going on. I remember watching a documentary about a romance scammer called the Tinder Swindler, and it was so sad how the victims never got justice. That's why I totally understand the FL going after the ML on her own.
And she was the real power going after those who thought they were unreachable 👍
Yessss! I love that she brought down the entire organization, and it was sooo sweet that she created a foundation afterward for other victims of romance scams in honor of her friend 🥺 It felt really personal, so I wonder if the screenwriter of the vertical knew someone who was the victim of a romance scam or was the victim of one themselves.
This actor is really good in every drama I watched him. And that actress is killing it too
I agree! He's really good at playing a pitiful puppy or a wronged man because he's got a kind face and sad eyes. I don't think I've seen the actress in anything else, but she was powerful! I'd love to see her in more.
