Omg, really??? That one was on my radar too :((( ML is literally bought as a slave by FL, how did they manage to somehow not make this RR? TOT

Honestly maybe I'm being too hard on Tower of Whispers... it is true that early on they have a master/servant relationship with the ML being clearly really into her stepping on him LOL and with the kiss scenes even later on it definitely seems like she's topping him   plus there's a pretty funny interaction after they get together wherein FL tells ML he's not allowed to look at any other women but that she will build herself a harem of handsome men if he dies lol

BUT I think it didn't feel RR enough to me, maybe because I was so salty that the FL forgave the ML for his mistreatment of her way too quickly imo

"love in the cloud" is on my list, let's see.

Based on the first few episodes, I am getting switch vibes

Yes, it appears like a gender swap drama in the first episode. But I watch the first 6 episodes and FL drops her disguise as a man on episode 1.

Yes there are some RR moments but the ML is bough as a slave from fighting arena and quicly becomes FL's guard (episode 4 i think) . He fights and the focus is more on the conspiracy. Although, yes, at times ML takes the submissive posture as her slave.

I'm happy FL stopped mistreatement on ML on episode 4. I frankly couldn't stand more torture.

 unbeliebubble:
But I have the best time watching this show. At last an heroine who never surrenders.

That's what matters most! Continue to enjoy

Thanks for sharing your thoughts ^^

I'm sobbing 🤣🤣🤣

Oh, that definitely is a yikes... *sigh*

It seems like it doesn't deliver as much as it should've, which is still a shame :( I'll keep my expectations low if I ever do watch it. Thanks for the info

I just realized that Love in the Clouds is directed by the same legend who directed Zhang Gong Zhu Zai Shang, Dong Lan Xue, AND An Ancient Love Song? Aw crap, I am tempted... This queen KNOWS how to deliver RR goodness like no other, but the synopsis does not call to me at aaaalll

Okay, y'all let me know if it's RR and worth watching T_T

Yes, Zhi Zhu!!! I love her!!! She's also directing that FMV game that just released recently, Road to Empress, which by the way is SO much fun, I highly recommend

Ah I should clarify that when I say switch vibes, I mean dom/sub terms -- as in, a switch is someone who can take either dom or sub role and frequently enjoys trading roles with their partner. Love in the Clouds kinds fits because the leads seem to be constantly trading off who's got the upper hand in the relationship so far.

As to the point about the torture that is fair, she does treat him horribly for a while, I just have a stronger stomach for that kind of stuff when it's women hurting men. I'm always like, what did he do to deserve it? LOL He clearly did a lot of awful things to her so...

she turned from beating him half to death to taking him on a cute date from practically one moment to the next, it was way too fast imo

I am on episode 8, and still no RR. Just a strong FL who plays the little miss sunshine. Let's see what's coming.

About "love in the coud" Sorry, OK I get you now. Yes,this is totally the game we are in now ; when she stries to lower ML's guard by all means, while pursueing her goals. Thanks for pointing out the directing. I am expecting something great now. I noticed that a lot of mini dramas lead actors are featured  in this drama. Now I kind of understand why.

About "Tower of whispers" : FL was very violent. She would have kept on abusing ML physically and i might have dropped it, like I did with "Prisoner of  love" because FL was still on torturing mode toward ML by ep 8. I couldn't stand more bloody torture. It is hard to watch a ML  or FL abuser. We are not used, generally speaking,  to watch sadistic FL's. Maybe this is why it is harder for me to stand them. Update : to be fair ML is sadistic too i this drama.

I agree. The change of perspective are too quick. We didn't witness her inner struggles betweet forgiveness and love. A  pity.

 RSB:
I love her!!!

Me tooo! She really knows what's good! Glad she's getting bigger projects (but I'm also admittedly sad that we likely won't be getting more minidrama gems :'))

 RSB:
which by the way is SO much fun, I highly recommend

Have it on my to-buy list!

Thanks for the reccs!! Added to my PTW!

So, I started watching "Genie, Make a Wish", thinking I was diving into a  warm ML x cold FL title, but oh my , these two are definitely not playing with a full deck. The FL's creepy laughter gave me serious chills; it was downright unsettling. haha I had to double-check the drama genre since the end of episode one felt more like a horror than a rom-com.

Side note , Bae Suzy nails the roles of eccentric girl . LOL

And, Woo Bin is amusing in this role.

Hello Simi,

I was hesitating to watch it. I might give it a try for the cast. I hope the CGI is good. I am curious.

Thanks for the heads up Simi :)

I bumped on this little 8 mn 2023 drama "Take my wife away" with assertive FL vs Childish ML. I laught a lot. Their relationship is Master vs Disciple. It has some good RR moments for 75% of the drama. I liked it. This is low budget but funny. There is a part 2 also, but I cannot find it yet.

For the first 5 minutes ML asks for divorce, and you guessed it : he spends the hole drama scheming to prevent this from happening.

Hello there!

I hope you're doing well. I've encountered worse CGI in the past.

Overall, I find the drama to be decent—not exceptional—but still enjoyable to watch.
