Lmao, it's nothing much. I think I lacked this kind of motivation in the past for MDL, but after my ban a few years ago, I am suddenly motivated to preserve my lists elsewhere just in case. I believe a negative experience like this really makes you do things you would otherwise find annoying or boring or w/e. =))

I pay zero attention to the directors and writers lol. I just watch a series as it is presented, I avoid behind the scenes, interviews, promotional events, actors' private lives, etc. If it is an actor that I like the most I will go is an IG follow for pictures. Anything that will break the reality created in the series, I avoid it. That way the series is preserved in my mind, and I see characters not actors. As it relates to major news about actors, that I cannot avoid as I am constantly interacting in BL spaces, but I do not normally dig deeper than headlines.
However, you do have a great point in looking at series based on who made them. It could save you from watching series that you will not like. I might just try it.
I feel you on that, that it could break the illusion. I do however also think that sometimes when the actors do fan service and reactions that it can be very nice to watch.

My spreadsheet is quite simple. I have added columns for each of the columns in the lists in one sheet for each list (CW, Completed, PTW, On-hold, Dropped). Today I also added 3 sheets for 4 of my custom lists, namely Rewatched, Role Reversal and Favorite Actors/Actresses. These will help in case my account gets banned again lol. Though I really hope that never happens, having a separate list is a good idea for me. I can also keep track of what I rewatch (if ever) and what I want to rewatch, in the Rewatched sheet. It's neat and has links for all the titles because I just copy-paste the lists from my MDL watchlist to the tables. ^^

Should I just watch the uncut one and add both cut and uncut titles to my completed list or add only the uncut one? I don't think it's fair to add both though, because it's not like I've seen both.
I always watch the uncut version but record both in MDL. I watch the uncut version not because I care so much about the NC scenes (with rare exceptions) but rather because I don't want to wonder about what I'm missing. I always record both for a couple of reasons, but most of all because I want my vote (rating) to count for all relevant listings - and I personally think it's fair to rate the cut if you're seen the uncut.
I also rate generously, usually well above the average MDL rating, partly because I'm willing to overlook weaknesses for what I like, but mostly because I feel like I'm encouraging the BL industry.

Same here. Cut version just doesn't cut it for me lol Not when there are definitely more scenes in the uncut one. That's a good point! For this reason alone, I should rate both versions. Thanks for chiming in about this, I was honestly wondering what I should do.
