The Wicked Game

DAY 7 - Favourite non-Asian LGBTQ+ drama/film of 2025
I'm super curious about your answers for this question. Before the BL era I've been watching a lot of western LGBTQ+ productions, but nowadays I can barely keep up with Asian BLs 😫
I thought I wouldn't have an answer for today's question, but then I remembered that one weekend with my bestie, when we've binged those vertical mini series on her app. I've checked which ones are from this year and I've chosen Sneak Me in Your Closet My Prince. The quality is what you might expect from a vertical drama, but it was fun and it was fake-relationship-turned-real, one of my favourite tropes 😉

Me and Thee ep 4
Watching this drama is the best part of the week for me 😄
Highlights of today's episode:
- blindfolded violinist
- bodyguards on bikes
- Peach and Thee's duet
- Bollywood dance scene
- Thee's tattoo
- Est's legs
- William's appearance

I hated that guy bro

I've chosen Sneak Me in Your Closet My Prince.

I've seen clips of it and it looks interesting. I don't have the app so I haven't seen it.

Im currently watching youth with you season 3 and the guy playing  You Shu Lang boyfriend  Lu Zhen was in boys planet and in ywy s3,, 11 year old me back in 2021 would never have realized majority of the actors in the series they had watched where actually all contestants in a survival show at some point.

Every You, Every Me

I accidentally watched one of the BL stories in this collection with a really sad ending. 😭 😢 😭

A couple of you guys said it was good and I'm enjoying it except now I'm super sad. Do they find each other again in another life?

Guess I'll keep watching more stories and find out soon enough. It would be awesome if they do.

ETA:  Mick is insanely cute but hot at the same time. 🫢

Kiss Kiss Sxx

The last two stories have release dates.

Every You, Every Me

I accidentally watched one of the BL stories in this collection with a really sad ending.

That was presumably the third story (eps. 3 & 4), right? Yeah, that was my least favourite. Anyways, as  I wrote before, the fifth and final story cleverly brings the other stories together. Does it have a happy ending?  Yes, but there's also a lot of conflict in the final story, so I wouldn't call it comfort fluff.

The series has some flaws, and at times drags a bit, but it's really original* and worth watching, most of all on the strength of Mick and Top's versatile acting performances.

* That being said, the first story by itself is similar to "La Pluie" and thus not so original.

Day 6: Most evil parent or grandparent

i really want to say Dech’s (Boom’s) father from Memoir of Rati. Like the dads from Love in the Moonlight, it’s not ok to try to kidnap or kill your child’s lover! Then I thought about which father actually did the most damage, and Peace’s father from The Bangkok Boy was not only awful to his child and his child’s lover but actually killed a lot of people! He was a member the criminal underworld, but even among criminals he was despicable.

note: while he doesn’t seem as awful, Khanin’s grandfather (the king) from The Next Prince allowed poor air quality from mining to cause damage to a lot of people.

sorry my timing is off with the days for some people. I’m probably the farthest west here, so while it’s already the 7th in Europe it’s still the night of the 6th in California. Not that it really matters but I don’t like being behind with my answers since I came up with the challenge.

Day 7: Favorite Non-Asian LGBTQ+ drama/movie of 2025?
N/A because I didn't watch any this year. None of them particularly caught my interest, but if any of y'all have any recommendations, I would love to hear them.

Nice! I had forgotten about her.  I loathed that woman. 🫣🫣🫣

Mr Joe The Bangkok Boy was frustratingly evil, to everyone.

You're doing great on keeping up. I'm in the middle east so my hours are all over the place as well.  I had to sit down and pre-do challenges 3-4 days ahead. Then post on the day as soon as I have a free minute.
