Cat for Cash—finale
this was a cute show and the talking cats were minimal and not annoying at all. FirstKhao are always a pleasure to watch. The chemistry is perfect and they both act well. Unfortunately, this drama tried to add some deeper issues to the story but it never really drew me in. a Few episodes were slow but overall I enjoyed it, it just didn’t affect me emotionally in any real way. I enjoyed watching it but didn’t get anything special from it. The best part was watching Khao being both sexy and cat-like and pulling it off really well. Also Great looked amazing in glasses as the vet. A very light watch but not unpleasant.
Peach Lover
this show aired the finale today but I am way behind. I started to lose interest about halfway through. Even though it is extremely sexy, it doesn’t have much else going for it. The story has a lot of holes. I will try to finish it but it is not at the top of my priority list.
Yesterday—episode 8
i finally got frustrated with this show. It has been difficult to follow at times but I liked the challenge of trying to figure it out. I read up on a number of psychological issues to try to understand Peat’s character, and enjoyed trying to figure him out too. There are a number of mysteries/questions I wanted answered as well, and I liked speculating about them. But this week I felt like the show just skipped an episode’s worth of story. One minute Vier is in a coma and Kelvin in crying for him and the next moment Vier is back to running a company—with no psychological trauma from everything that happened so far. And Kelvin, who was clearly portrayed as someone unable to tell right from wrong, now has a conscience and is actually like a mostly normal person, just suffering from his own trauma. But he’s back to supporting Vier in business and being fine with their breakup. Wtf?! These are not the same characters we’ve been seeing for weeks now. Plus Ken is such an uninteresting villain. And he’s so stupid and selfish. How has he gotten this far? Also let’s just have Rawit in love with Vier for years. Ok. But so out of left field.
I really wanted to make sense of everything that’s happened and see the characters develop and change. Instead we just jumped ahead—or back—to totally changed characters and story. My spouse says I should stop trying to make sense of this show and just accept that it’s a melodrama with major changes every week. (She/they haven’t watched it, just heard me rant about it.) I think maybe they’re right. Stay tuned for my thoughts on the ending.
Countdown to Yes—eps 1 & 2
i watched the first two episodes and liked it, but wasn’t sure it could hold my attention for a binge watch. So I’ll watch a few eps at a time.
