K-Drama Indie Art Girl:
I'm starting Hold on, Harutora-kun tonight and wondering if Sui will have his mask on for most of the show?
For a lot of it, unfortunately. This failed attempt at symbolism is the one big glaring and irritating flaw of an otherwise cute, feel-good series which I quite enjoyed - but as you know, I'm able to overlook things if they're outweighed by what I like (especially cutie-patooties).
+++
Speaking of cutie-patooties, I just finished yesterday's ep. 4 of "Oops, Mysterious Sounds" and am feeling somewhat disappointed as the series isn't living up its initial promise - but maybe it'll get back on track with later episodes.
Next up: Yesterday's ep. 4 of "Crow Club", then there's today's new episodes of "Police in Love" and "Project XY" (reality, not great but alright and makes a nice change from dramas), but of the course the highlight of my entire BL week will be today's new episode of "Mr. Fanboy".💕

Yeah the mask is annoying and I've only watch one ep, I do like both cutie leads so I guess I'll try to adapt to this one huge flaw to continue watching. 🙀☹️
Thank you @Dora for theses facts this is so interesting !

Random but, I have a few essays to write for my midterm... I've created the rule of: I finish one essay- i get to watch an EP of a show i want... LOL Time for another episode of Police in Love
I think that's a good idea to reward yourself I should use this method for korean too.

duckysun:
Also- has anyone watched Yesterday with FortPeat...? Is it worth a watch? I love the pairing but I didn't really vibe with the other productions they're in, let me know pls!
if you're into toxic bls, this one's the blackest flag or one of the blackest flag i've watched =D

I personally loved it 💖🥰 but I love dark/toxic BLs lol 😂

Welcome home - and thanks for sharing all the photos!
Thank you I'm glad I could share the trip with you all 😁
I'm catching up with the episodes from last week of Police in Love, Mr. Fanboy, You Maniac and Serizawa. I also want to binge watch something but I have many titles so I need help to choose one 😆
ETA : OMG the episode 6 of Mr. Fanboy was insane it was a rollercoaster of emotions ! And the post credits scene was so satisfying 🔥 James is really doing a great job with his role I hate Nine so much !
Tiffany:
Which one should I binge watch first ?
it seems we'll give you a hard time to decide, it's mostly different title votes lol

i have decided to binge watch this, along with ooops mysterious sounds. still have to catch up on you maniac but updated and enjoy the crow club =D

Actually, this doesn't surprise me: Of the ones I've watched ("Harutora", "After Moving Seats", "Duty First", "Your Sky: Hare no Chikoi" and "Class Crush Crisis"), I liked them all about equally - meaning I really enjoyed each a lot, and I think Tiffany will as well, but objectively speaking, none is really top-notch. So among these, there wasn't an obvious winner. (I voted for "Class Crush Crisis" because it's a solid school BL which is cutie-packed and feel-good but mainly because Tiffany wrote "finishing", i.e. I think it's worth finishing what she started.)
"Nour" has been getting surprisingly good feedback and is probably the top-rated among the titles, but I've not yet started on it.
dora:
Unlucky Bae - finale
I checked out Unlucky Bae and couldn't get through EP 1. I'm not a fan of supernatural but I tried halfheartedly, cuz I don't have any completed BLs on my PTW list to watch rn. My choices are narrowing as time goes by as more companies focus on putting out DPT* dramas.
*DTP=Dark-Psycho-Toxic. 💀💀💀
Hold on, Harutora-kun lasted 3 eps and I was done. Nothing about it was working for me after all. I mean, he was even sleeping with his mask on. Like wth??? 🙄
I'm waiting for these BLs to finish:
Ao to Midori
Decoding You
Love Is Better the Second Time Around Season 2
Police in Love
Til I See You
Weirdo-101
You Maniac
Popular Serizawa Acts Weird around Me is almost done. Everyone seems to be enjoying this show so I hope I will too. 😊
I still have almost 4 hours before I can watch Mr. Fanboy!

nour's ending was a disappointment for me. i chose ash, though i was torn between ash and after moving seats
I just watched "Silhouette of Your Voice", the 72-minute 2017 movie upon which the 2024 remake series "I Hear The Sunspot" is based. I wasn't expecting much, but I thought it was surprisingly good.

Along with "See Your Love" and "Moonlight Chicken", "I Hear The Sunspot" is one of three excellent BL series of recent years involving deafness. All three are highly recommended.

Ok. Moving it up the list!

Love Is Better the Second Time Around Season 2
While I really enjoyed Love is Better the Second Time Around that I watched (only) last month, there is something with the season 2 that I dislike. Not sure exactly what. Maybe the fact that while both ML are above 30 they still act like teenies. While I found it cute the first season, it starts to get on my nerves somehow. I'm curious how they will finish the last ep next week. However I find the ratings on MDL a bit harsh somehow.
Laalaa17930228:
Guys I just watched the new KBL on Gaagaa Twisted Tie this looks to be pretty spicy for a KBL. 👀🌶️Unfortunately only one episode so far and just like many Korean shows the episode length is only 20 minutes. But I am definitely keeping an eye on this one.
yes! Same here, can't wait for next week!
dora:
Also started today:
I wasn't sure after ep1 but ep2 is much more promising, and we get 2 eps a week, so I'm adding it to my airing list.
BJ_Spirit1:
This definitely sounds like the coolest club. I would be honored to join!
Welcome! You'll see, it's never boring here!

I dropped at ep2, but I'm not of good advice, I'm no fan of FortPeat and already dropped their previous series…

I'm not expecting a lot after hearing similar thoughts. 😊
Mr. Fanboy EP 7
I'm a little confused about the ending.
Why was Third crying so hard at the end? He's choosing to enable Nine, who has lied and cheated over the years knowingly, and even aggressively hurt Third's "love" Wan. I don't understand, even though Third did say posting the video would hurt more than just Nine. Is that the only reason he didn't post it? Was he crying cuz he was frustrated? Or cuz he didn't make it right for Wan?

I think it's from the the reminder of when he said, "We haven't been friends in a long time." I get the feeling that he has given Nine so many chances since the time he deleted that CCTV footage from their HS years, and that Nine has continued to disappoint him time and again. Even their manager was mad at Nine for doing this "again." Nine always excuses his own behavior as surviving and protecting himself no matter how underhanded. You're right that those people who allow it are enablers. Third has witnessed it over the years and must be completely exhausted.

Mr. Fanboy EP 7
I'm a little confused about the ending.
Me, too - and also about some other things in the episode. I might need to go back and re-watch a few scenes. It's hard to imagine after what we've seen so far (up to and including attempted murder), but with five episodes to go, I'm wondering if Nine could possibly be heading for a redemption arc?
I'm also wondering why the episode is entitled "Eye for an Eye" when it wasn't about revenge or retaliation in kind? Maybe a language issue? Or am I missing something?
