The Crow Club ep 4

Okay a general notice now that we are 4 episodes in. I was already having some concerns when I saw how many couples we had, that how they were going to execute the different couples storylines and tying the stories together as one cohesive plot. Based on the first 4 episodes my concerns feel valid, since the first four ones almost completely focused on Rakkhun and Van (ep 4 looking to be a closure for now on them). Based on the teaser for the next episode the show will move to Phathee and Ran next, indicating that on couple at a time is the style of featuring them.

For me if this is the style they continnue with, it reads "mini shows" of each couple rather than a cohesive show where each couple plays a part in a bigger story. It could still be that in the end there is something that will tie all of this together, but so far I am not impressed. Considering that this show has 16 episodes all together (we are going to the CBL territory with the episode count), it is going to be a challenge keeping all the couples in the viewers minds until the end, if they will first go trough all the couples stories individually and each story takes the 3-4 episodes.

I have not watched a single BL series in more than a month. I am not even aware of what series are airing and trending these days. I am literally out of touch with everything BL. I never would have thought this was even possible.

I’m loving The Missing Piece, but it’s a little confusing/hard to keep track of the timeline the way it switches from past to present. I’m sure I could find a timeline on Reddit but I think I will wait until the show ends to look up comments explaining it. I’m always worried I’ll see spoilers.

I'm waiting to binge-watch it. I hope the timeline won't confuse me. I'm also afraid of spoilers.

I just finished Summertime. It's crazy how K-BLs can be so all over the place. I really love it, though. It was such an interesting way to tell a story and I loved the chemistry between the two MLs.

I also started watching Fool in love. That scene reminded me so much of 365 Days lol. I don't really know how to feel about it yet. Bank Artit has such a baby face that I'm having trouble seeing him as an arrogant, domineering character.

Police in love is amazing. I'm having so much fun watching it. Yin and War are such incredible actors. Later on, I'm going to finish Ticket to Heaven.

I'm also enjoying Fool in Love. I love how Ing has it bad for Yok, and we're only 2 episodes in. I remember Copter Nuntapong from La Pluie, and it's nice to see him again here. It's my first time seeing Bank.

YinWar are my bias; I'm happy to see them in Police in Love, which is a riot. It's adapted from the novel "Phanraya Sarawat Thia" (ภรรยาสารวัตรเธียร์) by kanola, but it really reminds me of the plot of Marry My Dead Body which is adapted from the original story outline by Lai Zhi-liang.

I thought Ticket to Heaven was special. Both Gemini and Fourth's acting were phenomenal. They've improved so much since their debut, esp. with their micro expressions. As director and screenwriter, P'Aof is also to be commended. I've seen/read a few interviews to try and understand more of this story, and I know there have been many discussions about this show in social media. We all come from different backgrounds, so it's understandable for us to have different experiences and POVs. Personally, this was a 10/10.

Summertime is still on my PTW. Glad to hear you liked it.

I just started Decoding You, which I like. The plot is really similar to the het 2020 Thai Lakorn My Husband in Law.

I'm trying to get through the shows on my WL , but honestly, I just watch whatever fits my mood, so now my WL is basically just a graveyard of series that have already aired.

Recently I also loved Nour and The Missing Piece, which still has 2 weeks left. Boy, With Caution and Ash have also been good so far. And we’re all loving Mr. Fanboy.

Comedy is not usually my thing but Police in Love has been so much fun.
