Hey, can I have recommendations for action BL, please? Something like MOD or KP

I recommend The New Employee and Dark Blue and Midnight if you haven't already seen them.

Hello Guys..

Is anybody watching Love Class season 2??

How is it going??? i dropped  the first season..so I am a lil reluctant to start the second season..Is it any better from the previous one..??

I just started it, and so far I think I will like it more than the first series. Episode 1 was a bit confusing, but it gets better, and the new CPs look promising (and cute).

Not that "Love Class" (the first series) was bad: Although it didn't grab me as a love story, the awkwardness was actually rather cute, and I also liked how it treated some serious issues including coming out in conservative Korea as well as stalking (the scary kind).

Did anyone catch this gay dating/partner swap reality show when it was aired?

"
Boyfriend" (South Korea, 2023)

I can't believe I watched the whole thing in one go! Thank you for mentioning this show. Have you seen it? It was amazing.

For me it was beyond the typical dating/swap type of reality program. The production  exceeded my expectations of what I thought would be a light reality show with silly situations that only skims the surface. But what they (PP Studios) have accomplished is to use this platform as a way to help, support, give coping skills on real life gay issues, and encourage others to walk the path of healing. A job well done!

They are working on a Season 2 and looking for more support and exposure. I encourage anyone interested in or dealing with gay life and issues to take a look at this series. And bring your hankie!

I have a dilemma. I am currently watching a bunch of BLs, both currently airing and earlier things I never watched - i.e. I have too much to watch already - and now I just discovered "Dangerous Romance" (Youtube free, 2 episodes released so far with English subtitles): Perth, Chimon, GMMTV ... must watch now ... cannot resist ... argh!

As of the end of Episode 2, "Dangerous  Romance" is getting really, really good (as one expects from GMMTV). Perth has grown up so much since "Love By Chance" (2018), and likewise Chimon since "Sweet Boy" (2016) - i.e. each about 16yo at the time.

Speaking of which, I don't quite understand the bad MDL reviews for "Sweet Boy". Well, it's not BL-with-happy-ending, but as a coming-of-age story focused on teen struggles with sexual identity and first love in a conservative society (something many of us can relate to), I thought it was really good.

I am really not sure if I want to start DR because I didn't really liked Perth and chimon in "Never let me go".

but seeing your good opinion about the series makes me doubt my decision. I would love to hear more about your experience with the series in the next episodes, so maybe I will consider watching it.

You should !!! their chemistry is overflowing

This is why I was surprised no-one mentioned it when it was airing earlier this year.  It seems to have fallen very much under the radar for Western viewers of Asian dramas / variety shows. Even posting about it on various platforms that discuss BL and LGBTQIA+ programmes, there was no response.

This really had a good premise and good production values for a YT series. I am pleased there is to be a season 2 and I look forward to it.

From what I can tell it's not listed here on MDL. If it was, maybe that could bring more attention to it?

It's not listed because it is a YT only series, apparently.

Another BL-relevant gap on MDL is Vietnam. It's good to see BL coming from more countries in the region (even Myanmar, gasp!). I hope MDL adds Vietnam next.

Don't hold your breath. Many have asked, but it remains absent.

I see. I guess that makes sense....

I noticed Vietnam isn't represented, but hopefully before too long. I've seen only a couple of BL from Vietnam and the quality was a bit lacking. I'm sure part of it is resources. Or maybe just the series I watched :-)  I can't remember the titles though.

While not the worst drama I've watched overall, Love Syndrome iii was not good.

Love Syndrome iii was not good.

If you think that was bad, the main couple from that are currently in "Crazy Handsome Rich" (Thailand, 2023) which is dubbed (in Thai!) by just two voice actors for the whole cast. If you get through episode 1 of this drama, you are doing better than most who dropped it after a few minutes.
