If anyone knows the answer ...
I would like to watch "Love In Translation" on iQiyi rather than Youtube, but it's geo-blocked in my country. I tried using my high-quality VPN via the USA (where it is not geo-blocked), but it seems that iQiyi goes by the country of my account rather than the login location, i.e. it's still geo-blocked. Does anyone know a way around this?

Use a VPN that has stealth mode? I have a VPN and I'm able to watch while logged into to my (UK) iQIYI account. 

You may want to use a different browser, or at the very least clear your history and cookies after you've set your VPN.

Oh, those weren't recommendations. That was just a completion of the list of Asian BLs airing in October.

Thanks, but still no luck: VPN to USA, tested both Chrome and Firefox in incognito mode - and in both cases, I can see "Love In Translation" while I'm not logged in to iQiyi - but as soon as I log in, geo-blocked. So I think this can only come from my iQiyi account information, right?  My VPN works fine for overcoming geo-blocking in Viki.

If you have other ideas, I'll be very appreciative. In the meantime, I guess I'll watch "Love In Translation" on Youtube, which is at least full episodes and HD - so it's just the annoyance of the ads.

um try using an adblocker ?  it works in my laptop just fine

I use ad block: the best ad blocker. you can get it in Chrome Web Store> add ons

Ad blockers working for some and not for others seems to be a thing. Can't remember if it was related to location or browser or what.

Fortunately there are non-tracking alternative front ends for watching y--t---. Piped is the one I use, via a browser. I think there's at least one app (it's open source) but I don't have any experience with those. There's an option in Preferences to block ads or not. Sometimes I have to try a server or two to find one with good video-streaming quality that day but always get there in the end. 

If anyone's interested might be best to DM me so it doesn't get lost in thread. 

Edit: Well h---, looks like this post has *already* gotten lost in the thread. I give up trying here. DM me if you'd like info.

Did you clear your cookies and history before trying to log-in to the site? I scan the QR code to my phone to log in and have no issues watching. My Proton VPN works fine in stealth mode on both Chrome & Firefox, so not sure what the issue is for you. Sorry.
