I didn't much like "My Marvellous Dream Is You" and consequently I didn't really become a fan of the two leads Fay and May. But I'm currently watching "Somewhere Somehow" and I'm absolutely loving it, and their chemistry. This is probably my favourite Thai GL of 2025 so far. But I'll reserve judgement because I haven't started "Love Design" or any of the dramas currently airing, so that could change., especially with "ClaireBell" still waiting for me.

Omg you're going to love 'Love Design'! It's so good and definitely top on my list! I'm enjoying Clairebell atm too! The production, acting, visuals are such high quality

GL News from Other Asian Countries

Vietnamese GL "CHỈ YÊU MÌNH EM/I Only Love You" finished airing on November 15th with a total of 13 episodes each at about 20-30 minutes long. There is no word on what CHẠM's next GL drama will be, but they don't tend to leave us waiting for long.

Indian romcom ~~miniseries~~ limited series "The Royals" premiered on Netflix in May. While I personally haven't seen much about the main couple, many viewers report that the lesbian support couple stole the spotlight even with little screentime, and they are eagerly hoping that they'll have more prominence in the second season - which has already been confirmed and is anticipated for 2026.

Indian supernatural horror thriller miniseries "Andhera" premiered on Amazon Prime in August, with one of the leads falling into a sapphic love story during the course of events.

Indonesian GL short film "Bittersweet Uniform" premiered on YouTube in August. There are no translated subtitles; however, the auto-translate didn't seem too terrible in my brief skim of the film.

Terminal illness movie "What Happened to the Wolf," reportedly Myanmar's first sapphic film, was released in select theaters across the world over the course of the summer and fall. After being well-received, it had its global online streaming premiere on October 5th, exclusively on 24 Frames Mozart.

Co-Production Reminder: Macau-Hong Kong-Taiwan's "Girlfriends" and Hong Kong-Cambodia-India's "Whisperings of the Moon" are making their way around the film festival circuit.

Do you guys know of any GL that fits this description? I think Angel in September is one and I got it but have only seen 10 mins of it so far.. also, Albino. I've not seen it but I think it'll fit this theme very well.

Anything else?

I think a list like that needs to be entirely personal. What one person considers "questionable", someone else may have no problem with. For example, there would be plenty of people who think that ANY drama that contains any gay or lesbian characters is "questionable", because they might see it as normalising a "sinful" or "unnatural" practice. I suggest you just create the list for yourself based on your values and beliefs

Well, I'm already doing that but I was thinking that there must be lesbian media out there that is the equivalent of the movie Dangerous Drugs of Sex... but lesbian, you know? I'm gonna watch Albino (and another one that I heard is equally bad) and see if they fit this theme.

Also, I'm definitely not thinking that any and all BL and GL media fit this description... I'm also looking for lesbian pink films like Angel in September. And stuff like this. Something that is out of the norms.

Id personally consider Handsome Stewardess questionable due to the domestic violence appearances. And the jokes that get said around the workplace by one of the lead’s friends.

Theres incest-incest (they didnt know) in Fall For You (Taiwan, 2023)
