Beware of triggers though: unserious treatment of sexual assault, implied rape. Microdrama Two Empresses Dowager Reborn (两宫太后重生了，更改诏书换皇帝) appears to be a censored GL. | After months of silence, Hong Kong film Red Kiss was confirmed to still be on the film festival circuit - making its international premiere 21st Osaka Asian Film Festival on August 30th. [Source]. At the Busan International Film Festival in September, Taiwan-Hong Kong-Macau-Thailand co-produced film Girlfriends and Hong Kong-Cambodia-India co-production Whisperings of the Moon were shown, confirming they are still on the film festival circuit as well, and garnering quite a bit more buzz as a result. Also in September, 2 Taiwanese BLs ended their run. The notable aspect (to this club, mind you) is that both featured a GL second couple. The dramas? Secret Lover and The Promise of the Soul. |

| Filipino GL studio GNDA Productions (of Project: Coffee) renamed/deleted their accounts, deleted social media posts, and privated Project: Coffee episodes on YouTube. This is seemingly for a rebrand that might be tied to the GL film A Quiet Bloom which was announced for 2026 on August 17th, 2025. However, these posts have also went missing as the production-specific socials have also been privated and renamed. The film Open Endings has entered the film festival circuit as of October 3rd. They started out with Cinemalaya where it received an award for Best Ensemble Performance. Since then it has been at a few local screenings. And it will be at QCinema International Film Festival Main Competition (Asian Next Wave) which takes place Nov. 14-23rd. |
