Wait, since when was Personal Taste highly rated? XD

  • Goblin
  • Descendants of the Sun
  • Moon Lovers
  • Boys Over Flowers
  • Business Proposal
  • Taxi Driver
  • What's Wrong with Secretary Kim
  • Strong Girl Bong Soon (even though I liked it)
  • Itaewon Class
  • Alchemy of Souls

 Arclei:
Taxi Driver

 Arclei:
Flower of Evil (tho I still liked it)

Would've been close to perfect if it weren't for that last episode 😩

That last episode, bro.......... 💀WTF was that? But for me, it started losing steam at the midway point...

To anyone who liked these dramas, that's super fair and valid, and they must be popular for a reason! Enjoying a show is subjective as heck, but for some reason I just didn't like it or couldn't finish it.

- Queen of Tears

- Hometown Cha Cha Cha

- Twinkling Watermelons

- Strong Girl Bong Soon

- Bon Appetit Your Majesty

- Goblin; The Lonely and Great God

Lovely runner

Twinkling watermelon

vicenzo

when life gives you tangerine

queen of tears

the king

crash landing onto you

alchemy of souls all seasons

Taxi driver 1,2,3....I really tried watching this to see what the hype is all about and I like the leads actors but I dont understand the hype.

I enjoyed the first half of Twinkling Watermelon, but the pacing slowed and I started to lose interest. I respect everyone who loved it . It  just didn’t fully click for me. Since I’ve already started it, I’ll try to finish it in the near future.

I agree with most of the answers. In general, however, whatever has come out in the last few years tends to be greatly exaggerated. Whether this is due to K-dramas expanding globally or to a kind of creative drought that makes people overhype even the smallest bit of romance is open to debate. I’ve seen many people say that Lovely Runner felt like a remedy for their “romance drought” and brought back the old vibes, while others complain that there are too many legal and crime dramas and wish we could move past them.

I’ve struggled to finish most of the shows released in recent years, let alone enjoy them. I feel like they haven’t conveyed emotions strongly enough.

I was skimming through the names when Twinkling Watermelon caught my eye. While I didn’t like certain parts of it, I generally enjoyed the show, though I wouldn’t call it amazing. I think it stood out mainly because many other shows were rather lackluster. This brings me back to what I mentioned in the first paragraph.

moon lovers

the cringiest i've ever seen and i still can't understand how people can like it

Haha, It literally took me four years to finish that.  :D

  • Mouse
  • Personal Taste
  • My Demon
  • Alchemy of Souls
  • Hometown Cha Cha Cha
  • Descendants of the sun
  • bon appetit your majesty
  • when the phone rings
  • Goblin
  • What's Wrong with Secretary Kim
  • Business Proposal
  • Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
  • Strong Girl Bong Soon

Many more. These days, I started watching more Chinese dramas.

What a funny world we live in when we need a disclaimer in order not to release the wrath of certain dramas' superfans!

Mine are:

  • Goblin - age gap? BTW, I did not expect this many people to put it on their list here!
  • One Spring Night - horrible FL
  • Tomorrow With You - another horrible FL
  • When The Camellias Bloom - ridiculous ML with zero chemistry
  • TKEM - there is a drama somewhere in there between the endless ads
  • Extraordinary You - too strong SLS
  • Mouse - ridiculous storyline
  • Are You Human? - that ending? OMG, no, please, just NO!
  • Chicago Typewriter - the hairstyle (Yoo An In's present day character) ruined the drama for me
  • Weightlifting Fairy - her unhealthy infatuation with the doctor was too cringe to bear

me 1 year and a half.  Too cringe and too crash, rookie actors and idols unable to act,  the plot totally ridiculous and fanservice not necessary

I only liked Lee Jun Ki in that and I really hated Kang Haneul's character even thought I like him.

i liked lee joon gi and iu as actors, i really hated every character in the whole drama while laughing for 20 episodes... it's unbearable cringe

Haha :D Understandable

It lost steam midway, but I think it picked back up toward the end after the serial killer woke from his coma and started hunting ML, FL, and their family.

Sadly, most 16 episode K-dramas lose steam around ep 10. I'm probably one of the few people happier with the 10-12 episode format. There are probably some 10-12 episode dramas that deserve to be longer, but overall, I like the change.

Yeah it did pick up then!

Nah cuz I agree 😭 10-12 is long enough (same with cdramas btw. Only jdramas respect your time)
