I agree with most of the answers. In general, however, whatever has come out in the last few years tends to be greatly exaggerated. Whether this is due to K-dramas expanding globally or to a kind of creative drought that makes people overhype even the smallest bit of romance is open to debate. I’ve seen many people say that Lovely Runner felt like a remedy for their “romance drought” and brought back the old vibes, while others complain that there are too many legal and crime dramas and wish we could move past them.
I’ve struggled to finish most of the shows released in recent years, let alone enjoy them. I feel like they haven’t conveyed emotions strongly enough.
I was skimming through the names when Twinkling Watermelon caught my eye. While I didn’t like certain parts of it, I generally enjoyed the show, though I wouldn’t call it amazing. I think it stood out mainly because many other shows were rather lackluster. This brings me back to what I mentioned in the first paragraph.
