I think the film is quite 'meh'. It seems like people either love or really dislike the film, and I think I am one of those to dislike the film. The characters were interesting but the film did not succeed in giving further insight into their characters, I believe. Also, I felt sorry for So Hee. Yes, she is also a wild girl but essentially, she was screwed over by Joong Gil. Generally, I found the main leads quite unlikeable. I didn't see any redemption or even character development and I question the necessity of the film. I will rate this a 6.5/10. They deffo could have improved the film with slight changes.

It's alright. Nothing I'd call a masterpiece but still enjoyable enough to recommend it to those who desire some pirate adventure. Beware: if you love animals and can't stomach their painful death, you want to avoid watching this. I will rate this a 6/10. I distracted myself during the scenes in which they killed the whale. Apart from that, the film was not extraordinary but also not a complete screw-up.

This film was very mediocre. I absolutely did not like the FL (neither old nor young) and there were so many topics that were mentioned but then completely ignored. I also think that FL did not developed her character at all. No remorse regarding how she treated people. Hence, I really disliked the film. However, I saw that they are going to release a drama adaption this year (2024), and maybe, with more time, they will allow the topics to evolve and her character to improve.
