Kdramas I have watched

This drama is underrated in every way that something can be underrated. It truly is a work of art and needs to be appreciated. This drama has one of the most interesting and complex plots i’ve ever seen, especially in a “zombie” drama. All the decisions made mean something and come together at the end. It’s actually insane how many small details or choices end up becoming something big. The characters too all have depth and purpose, we are truly shown the evil sides of people and how corrupt they can be. We also see the good sides and how sometimes good people can do bad things, and likewise. The special effects were really good, I loved the zombie design it was really interesting and unique. I LOVED the music, Issac Hong ate that uppppp. Of course the romance was also amazing, I don’t normally like straight couples but I loved them sm. Seriously the chemistry and dynamic was addictive. I can’t name anything that I didn’t like about this, seriously. It has everything good I could ever want.

I’m cannot express how annoying the end was, all that for what? Building up this whole plot line just to be like nevermind at the end? So cliche and annoying. Loved absolutely everything about it except how they ended it…seriously could’ve done so much better it’s a shame…

debated putting this in my BL list because it’s very gay but since it wasn’t outright said i guess i won’t 

I have never disliked a “female lead” more than the one in this drama. She was a horrible person over and over again and I feel like she never truly changed. Instead of actual character development she just abandons her family for three years? If I were her son I would never speak to her again. She was just selfish throughout the entire drama and that never changed. 

If we ignore her character though everything else was really great. Ryeouns acting and his character were so amazing. I loved how they dealt with these topics and weren’t afraid to go into the dark and gritty parts. I also liked that there was minimal romance it made it so much better.

This show had potential, key word had. I thought the plot was interesting and it could’ve been really good. There were also a lot of good moments, in action, suspense, plot twists, and emotional parts. The characters were interesting too and felt well thought out. Still the whole premise that suicide is something to guilty for and punished for is just not right. The main character was treated worse than all the criminals for being pushed to the edge and I don’t vibe with that. Plus death was extremely annoying. The worst part was the ending, I knew it was going to end like that but still. It was so lackluster like well now none of that happened so now what? Does everyone still die, can he change their deaths? Does the villain get away without any punishment? It was an annoying ending that felt so disappointing. This show could’ve been so much better but to me it was just “meh.”

This series is actually phenomenal. The acting is so good the characters were casted perfectly. The characters and their friendships and development were done perfectly. Everything worked so well and was so interesting. The cinematography was also insane like the transitions and angles were really good. All the tense moments were done amazingly and the emotional ones and happy ones. I feel like we got equal time with each character and got to know them. Each one had their own problems and we got to connect with them. It was so cute and then funny at times and then soul crushingly sad. It was just so good. I truly truly hope for another season because there is so much left unexplained and I don’t think it’s fair to leave it like that.

I have incredibly complex feelings about this drama. I’m going to start with the controversy, the original novel for this book is in fact a BL. The show claims to be adapted from the webtoon however which to my knowledge is still in progress and i’m not sure how much BL it has in it. Despite this, whoever produced this intentionally took out all the BL elements. They did this most likely for money. I’ve seen some people say it was because of the age gap, however many other BLs have an age gap. Case in point, Love for Loves Sake which was a huge success and I love that drama. I’m not and have never been a fan of age gaps but sometimes in fiction, it’s not horrible? Anyways they made it “not gay” to get more money and to get more popular actors. Honestly, the series wasn’t bad though. The plot was really interesting and the character dynamics were really well done. While the  bully Jae-min did despicable things, he still had me feeling endearment and sadness. That speaks a lot to the acting and writing that I could feel bad at all for him. The redemption arcs and characters were just done super well. Though some choices just didn’t make sense, like the whole bullies taking him to court or wtv, like I know someone else saved those videos be for real. Then the choice for Yiheon to just die at the end, like whattt. Moral of the story: the victim dies and some guy takes his place. That was a strange choice. It ruined the emotional vibe and felt like progress hadn’t actually been made. Maybe they could’ve done something with Yiheon and the gangsters soul combining? That would’ve been interesting. Anyways, while I did enjoy it they made a lot of bad decisions and the whole removing the gay stuff is just really homophobic. There’s a lot in this story that I felt like I missed so I might go read the novel and see if that’s better. Who knows maybe it’s worse.

It wasn’t really what I wanted it to be. I can’t really explain why it just was missing something. There was this warmth and close feeling the first season had that this season didn’t. It felt separated and just strange. A lot of the fighting felt bland and them doing so much just in a boxing ring wasn’t very interesting. Also one of my fav things about this is the mcs bond and there were good moments but it felt less like they fought together and more like Gunwoo was fighting. I get that Woojin was less trained and the coach but he still should’ve been strong. Like they defeated Inbeom easily in season one so why was it suddenly hard again. I feel like they would’ve been stronger but it felt like they got weaker and Woojin was sidelined. I also didn’t like all the focus on the new characters it should’ve been focused more on the duo. There was a lot of almost death and it felt like the stakes were lower because people kept not dying and I didn’t really care if they did. Like du jeongin comes back okay? Then maybe he dies. The main place guy is in the hospital who knows if he’s okay. Random people die and it’s like okay?? Lots of loose threads and random things happening. I also wish we got a strong female character like the two in season one, love hacker girl but the weak female trope is annoying. Cool cameo and some fun moments. The acting was really good and the fighting too. Still wish they did a bit more, it lost the vibe of the first season. Lowkey didn’t need a second but i’m still seated for the third lolll.
