The drama is really nice to watch; however, the last 5 eps were a bit of a let-down. The team is great and I love how they warm up to each other and how their interactions developed throughout the drama. The cases are well-written as well. Some are a bit more complicated whereas others are quite straightforward, which makes the drama a bit more realistic. Adding to those cases, there is another case that starts to build up throughout the episodes. Those factors make the drama successful. Now about the other aspects: The camera was a bit shaky, though it does not negatively impact the drama much. A point that does negatively impact the drama is the last case, or the last two cases. The case of Qin Ming's father was a tad bit too brief and the following, intertwined case was also not sufficiently dealt with. If the director would have extended the last episodes to 40 minutes (the length of the first 15 eps), then the case could have been described better. The craziness of the culprit is alright. Cases like that in itself can happen. However, the whole "let's frame one of the investigating individuals for a murder he did not commit" gets a bit tiring. Maybe it is rare in Chinese television but I reckon most long-running TV shows in the US include at least one case where an agent or police officer is getting framed for something just because an individual wants to enact revenge based on nothing quite substantial. And the viewer could see it coming. Within the first eps they have hinted at such a development. They could have included a different story line. My idea (which would suit the last case): frame a loved one for a crime and have him arrest his loved one, having to witness how they are taken away. But well. So afterall, I still rate this a 7.5/10. Instead of having similar dramas, I wish they would have added a second season with the same cast. Despite my criticism, the drama is highly recommendable.
