Amensia
The classic (or chaotic) amnesia trope! In these dramas, at least one of the leads loses their memory, leading to misunderstandings, emotional twists, and heart-fluttering moments. Some are sweet and clever, others… well, not so delightful—but all memorable in their own way.

1. Shadow Love
Chinese Drama - 2025, 38 episodes
Destined Shadows -Lovers to enemies to lovers done well
Shadow Love is a hauntingly beautiful tale of fate, sacrifice, and love that transcends light and darkness. The chemistry between the leads is truly captivating — every glance and touch filled with emotion and unspoken connection. The plot feels refreshingly unique, with the male lead showcasing three distinct roles — Jin’an, Prince Annan, and Xuanyike (the man in black) — all of which Cheng Lei portrayed effortlessly and with remarkable depth. The story unfolds in a mystical world full of secrets, illusion, and destiny, drawing viewers into its emotional and poetic narrative. With stunning visuals, strong performances, and a bittersweet yet fulfilling romance, Shadow Love is a fantasy masterpiece that stays with you long after it ends — a love born in the shadows but destined for the light.

3. Fated Hearts
Chinese Drama - 2025, 38 episodes
The Tale of Two Princes: Love, Power, and Betrayal in Fated Hearts
Fated Hearts is a turbulent tale of love, ambition, and betrayal set against the backdrop of royal politics. It follows two princes—one bound by duty and the other consumed by envy—whose fates intertwine with a fierce female general caught between loyalty and love. The drama shines in its intricate world-building and emotional tension, though it falters with repetitive tropes like amnesia and rushed romance arcs. Despite its flaws, Fated Hearts captivates with strong character performances, especially the unpredictable emperor and the bond between the Feng siblings, making it a memorable, if imperfect, royal saga.

4. Princess Silver
Chinese Drama - 2019, 58 episodes
A Hidden Gem That Deserves Far More Love
This drama has one of the clearest, neatest storylines I’ve ever seen—nothing feels rushed, and every character gets the attention and development they deserve. The suspense is kept alive till the very last episode; even though most of the story unfolds by episode 5, you're still unsure what will happen by episode 58, which is a huge kudos to the writer.
Thank you to the producers, writers, cast, and everyone who brought this drama to life.

6. Back from the Brink
Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes
The Pain of Betrayal and How to Regain Your Glory After Experiencing the Brink of Death-Power Couple
Back from the Brink has a simple story plot - a handicapped dragon in search of his missing parts due to an ex betrayal. This simplicity is its strength. 10 mins of the show, BFTB has told us what we need to know about the background context, Yan Hui’s (YH) personality, and how she is interlinked with Tian Yao (TY) in his quest. Straightforward with no filters. (Yes, those cute little loyal genies aren’t filters.) Their meet cute were hilarious and logical - a rare combination in many stories. -

All the cliches and regular struggles with a twist of superpowers
