What I Watched in 2025

TELL ME WHY THIS IS MY FAVE DRAMA and it's only Jan. Like it is at least top 3 i already know it cause i LOVE Joy of Life and The Blood of Youth and this is that drama with better family gags ahahaha the family is too much they kill me everytime but are so supportive of ML, also the silver gong leader Li Yunchun was the best, side characters are all well written, it's fun and light until ep 15 where i realized i cared so much for these characters and want them to be happy always

- The cases with Lin An's best friend broke my heart her acting is incredible Tian Xiwei and Wang Hedi killed it here, comedy and cuteness is great but it's hard to shift the tones and make each one stick, but writers and editors did their job and exceeded my expectations it went into depth of the ML how can you not love him. The main couple is better than dashing youth and joy of life in my opinion and even the eldest princess isn't what meets the eye, they subverted many tropes by making the drama about ML progressing in his powers and bringing justice to the world in his ways but there's the side of maintaining that balance, playing the game or else consequences 

i love this drama and the trio of the ML and his 2 sidekicks being his hypemen is the best

PETITION FOR ML TO PLAY A WHITE HAIR DEMON in another drama bc that grey wig and hoodie combo was so short lived but is the most memorable thing ever he's gorgeous and Meng ziyi even admits in an interview she was fangirling he noticed she treated him extra nicely and complimented him a lot when he was shooting in the grey wig haha RELATABLE QUEEN

MORE REBIRTH STORIES AND MARRIED COUPLE DYNAMIC PLZZZ he was so down bad for her ughhh my fave man is a hot general who everyone fears and respects that will do everything for his girl

This is Till the End of the Moon without its flaws, they learned that they did TOO much in TTEOTM and it felt rushed, this one gives the same vibes, except Tan Tai Jin is more psycho but this storyline is more comedic at times, but the cases? The Rong Xian and saintess of fox tribe ling long arc broke my heart, this one also gives Fangs of Fortune level of star crossed lovers and tragedy but it's so good

SA DING DING I LOVE AND HATE YOU BC THE SONG IS GORG I NEVER SKIP THE OPENING BUT EVERYTIME IT COMES ON SOMEONE DIES!

Ugh Ao Ruipeng looks so good here, it's giving Dylan wang, he looks like him in certain angles too, i'm ready for him to be the It boy of china, also them being besties irl makes for so much good promo content they be doing the princess carry tiktok and seduction dances to each other it's tooo good 

no one prepared me for HOW GOOD THIS WAS GONNA BE. Sure I spoiled myself the ending but this is Allen Ren's best work since One and Only and it has the same vibes too with him as a leader with hearbreaking backstory. The way he went from literally TRYING TO KILL HER EVERY DAY AND TORTURED HER MULTIPLE TIMES to adoring her so much she's his #1 priority was so moving

Xu Zhengxi i FEAR THIS WAS YOUR BEST WORK AND YOU ALREADY RETIRED IM SO SAD

OMG SUN ZHENNI IS SO PRETTY, while there's slower moments so i watch on 2x speed and it's a bit cheesy,  i LOVE 2ND ML hahaha i love the trio's dynamic so much ugh 2nd Ml needs to be 1st ml in his own drama he is giving wang xingyue fate from before always stuck with no gf or dies early in dramas lol

on ep 7 it got so good but then it ended with a controversy and the ratings went downhill so on hold im scared lol, the tension is chefs kiss and set up is so WATT PAD CODED in the best way addictive, quick twist and turns

my nostalgic guilty pleasure, thank goodness i gave this another chance bc it's giving old school xianxia fantasy but when i watch it after YEARS it hits diff in a good way. It's cheesy, dramatic and fun but yeah we've come so far in editing and CGI haven't we this one looks dated and too saturated already

will watch this after Guardians of Dafeng which i adore so much right now

downloaded all the eps only seen ep 1 it's fun but subs is MGTV so it's AI

Tor you gorgeous man I will always watch your dramas but a BL? SAY LESS this year we will be catching up to Thai dramas. I am picky now and only watch the thriller or mystery ones that are unique i love this writer i love Triage and Manner of Death so much ugh perfection 

I love the set up of a cop and a serial killer doctor 

on ep 3 good so far but got bombarded by Cdrama releases in Jan so on hold til a slower month gorgeous nature filled cinematography and the best styling on Jing Tian Yet!

i need to re watch this bc of s2 its so good tho but no time i am knee deep into diff dramas maybe i need to watch things on 2x speed instead of my tv only now lol, 

the best tvb crime drama in ages, so nostalgic

not great but its good background noise and has a good cast

this was gorgeous from start to finish i cried and some of the games were boring compared to thailand water challenge with minnie but it was heartwarming especially the ending when all the minority ppl and ethnic group came out to cheer on the RM cast and gave them gifts just so touching

obsessed and cried my eyes out at the special ep with everyone confessing their feelings and saying nice things to each other. 

surprisingly thrilling and great pacing, plus song wei long look here is rlly good, bby is back and sure not the biggest fan of her but her scandal being cancelled for attending a R rated cabaret show by Lisa in PARIS not even in china got her banned? so dumb glad she's back i love her on running man tho

oh this one is dark and explicit dropped in respect of original victims who said they glamorized it and tried to make them the criminal f4 also disrespecting the vicitms not getting all the consent before releasing this but

it's gripping hands down Zhao jinmai's best work to date the motional range here is so raw it's crazy

my new addiction, so fun to see all the currently airing cast of dramas i like interact and have fun best ep so far is the Fangs of fortune one with the crazy dancing i laughed so hard it was an ab exercise 

started for Eun Woo stayed for everyone else, he was sweet and polite but honestly the whole vibe is awesome and it was touching seeing the korean woman live alone in the middle of nowhere to pursue her dreams, the lifestyle of nature was difficult for city boys at first especially no wifi, no proper toilet or even food/stove at first

HAHAHA they struggled so hard cooking at times and walking 1 hr to get to the natural spring water well but this was so relaxing to watch 

enjoyed this so much except for the last ep was kind of rushed, it was beautiful though and acting? sizzling chemisty??? hello soooo good

i keep trying this but hate FL;s makeup lol maybe one of these days i will finish it

i was sick in bed and tis saved me the overthe top melodrama blind ml revenge FL some dark and crazy moments, it's soap opera vibes not perfect in terms of budget or acting but they look good and you gotta be in the mood for wattpad trashy addictive vibes

wasn't good ended off so abruptly i was like WTF but nothing happens except for slice of life romance at the airport was waiting for a plane crash or something crazy 1 thing but nope it's more of PR for the airport and tourism i swear

started acting was so good fl is a bit quirky, she dealt with trauma in a weird way became a cop and kinda loves blood/gore mystery will pick it back up later

ONE OF THE BEST KDRAMAS this year UGHHH THE ENTIRE CREW IS ADORABLE, friendship? Action? wholesomeness and thrilling moments? YES can't wait for s2

it's too cringe for me sorry maybe later on hold at ep 4?

basically the MC seduces the love interest a rich snake loving basketball addicted nepobaby, the butt grabs are so aggressive and awkward there's nothing to grab lol

SUCH HIGH QUALITY it's like marry my husband but make it more glam and gay

Smart ML x Smart FL? YESSS 

ACTING IS 10/10 the tension, the true enemies to lovers vibe and Liu Xueyi is perfect he's always so intense that gaze I live for it!  FL is smart and pacing keeps you on your toes

• Kill first ask questions later ML but he’s not fully evil despite his reputation

• This is what I wished Kill Me Love Me was I love liu Xue yi’s intensisity in the hate to love roles, this month the dramas hit harder bc xianxia fatigue is real i’m ready to skip them this month 

• Very thrilling and fast paced first few episodes so strong with the hook of ep 1 i was like wow it’s done already completely hooks you into the story

• Prince Wuyin one of the villains later introduced is so good, from ruthlessness, charm to psychotic guy obsessed in a taboo romance his range? GIVE THIS GUY A BIG BUDGET MAIN CHARACTER PROJECT NOW!

• EP 18'S KISS WAS WOAHHHH one of the most emotionally charged ones

this one is SO SO SO CUTE, the MC is the 2nd ML in Trauma Code the cutie doctor is here as a traumatized boy with ghosts and demons following him but he meets FL who has a crush on him but is also guarding him from dying. It's a mix of slice of life, supernatural romance and darker themes, mental health and isolation 

I ACTUALLY LOVE THE 2ND ML SOO MUCH so i feel bad for him the trio''s friendship is genuinely beautiful 

Perfect to be watching alongside of a dream within the dream similar vibes except the kdrama ver she’s not avoiding him but ended up in a one night stand with the main character and being the prime minister’s daughter she decides she will change the story and be besties with the character she wrote the FL who was being bullied by everyone

• This stars 2 former 2nd gen kpop stars turned actors seohyun and this is my fave role she’s done besides love and leashes, and taecyeon who is so good at acting from villain roles to smitten golden retriever this one is no exception

• The chemistry is good and so is the humor him being devoted to her, but her being a modern girl saying no need to marry me just because we hooked up makes for some good laughs while it starts light and fun, there’s some drama mixed in there which i thought was balanced well it’s enjoyable, and i just love the trope of modern day humor reacting to ancient situations poking fun of it or realizing crap i’m in trouble caus eits not the norm there

• It’s so easy to binge I love that the ML is instantly into her and looks at no one else

• Also love the trope of FL being a secondary character in the story but changes it and her cocktail making knowledge is so fun as a social club for the wealthy

SATO TAKERU that's it.

But it's more heartwarming romance focused than soap opera marry my husband, but i like both

I LOVE MI JI SO MUCH how relatable and lovely is this drama? The way that they realized the grass is never greener on the other side twins switching lives and appreciating the other more, realizing that despite being looked down on Mi Ji was a bright and smiley girl who dealt with a lot of shit, took care of her grandma and was so empathetic

Meanwhile Mi Rae is great on paper dealing with mental health issues climbing the career and social latter in the big city, but there’s a rumor she’s a bop she was harassed by a higher up and everyone was too scared to side with her, she dismissed it all sucked it up and pushed through because of her family, she endured it all herself despite wanting to end her life, workplace gossip cliques and bullying is the worst

JR plays the most greenflag childhood friend ever there was a misunderstanding but she had feelings for him in high school thought he was dating her sister got distracted and ruined her future as a track star with a bad injury on her leg, but after switching to the city they meet a lot and he realizes he still has feelings for her, their healing words to each other and kindness made me cry, THIS DRAMA IS FUCKING PERFECT

also Mi rae's romance with strawberry farm rich boy is so funny its the true opposites attract

i need to watch this
