I prefer the japanese version

I prefer the japanese version (2020). The thai one (2023) is not managed as well as the previous one (japanese one). As for the structure, the japanese version is divided in one series, two specials (one per couple) and a movie; the thai version is a longer series.

There are technical aspects like the music and the effects that were better chosen and managed in the japanese series. That version is funnier, more like a series among adults, like it should be due to the setting. The dialogues are better, deeper, there’s a more profound analysis of the character’s feelings. The filmography and the screenplay are very well detailed and everything is well balanced. Watching the thai version, I felt like they decided to throw things in with no precise order, just like the infinite number of commercials. Whoever worked on the script did not understand the original characters and the series’ charm one bit, because the main source is not the manga. They could have added some pretious moments but decided to go for the classic thai bl trope. For example, Karan’s family problems that were never mentioned before, suddenly appear in the last episode. Or the company rule about relationships that just makes no sense, plus Karan’s test that is just a classic childish move. Also, Karan’s obsession toward Achi is more aggressive than Kurosawa’s for Adachi; consider that the level was already high. Conseguently Achi's decision to accept his behaviour just feeds a toxic dinamic. Finally, there’s a continue comparison between Karan’s and Achi’s positions and role at work, more untiring and recurring, but no real mention of Achi's poor social skills.

I appreciate few things. Firstly, I find the cast choices just perfect for every role from Karan to the company’s boss. The acting is not bad either in particular if we look at the main couple (TayNew). They have been acting as a couple since Kiss Me Again (2018), their chemistry and comfort towards each other on the screen is visible. As for the side couple (JuniorMark), I could see that this is their first series together as a couple, they are cute but not really natural and linked. Same thing for the third couple, only added in the thai version; the classic side couple: nice interactions, pleasant mutual support, no physical contact. Speaking of which, I enjoy the main couple’s intimate upgrade: few kisses, a partial sex scene and most importantly Tay Tawan shirtless.

I don't recommend this series
Thank you for reading, kisses <3

DISAPPOINTMENT

First of all, I suggest you go check out some of the “all 10s” reviews. I can guarantee you’re going to cry with laughter. Let’s start.
- Side couples
Basically, not enough screentime. My favourite couple is Ramil-Paytai (RP), I love their sex scene on episode eight (if you like dominant-sub dynamics go check just this episode out) and their story. Unfortunately, they do it just one time and their narrative isn’t well developed: what happens is right but it’s just an outward and rough portrait (especially their last scene). The same goes for Calvin-Jay’s (CJ) pair: I don’t get how, HOW can they even like each other if they met just three, four times?!
- Plot
All the screentime is taken by this empty and messed up plot, which you can sum up in few episodes. I can’t understand what is the point, where is the story going? Too many uncomplete things, unnecessary scenes, new events that don’t go anywhere. Why add when you can use that same time to deepen into the side couples’ narratives? Huge waste.
- Main couple Charan-Kanin (CK)
Way more screentime than needed. This couple was good cause I like the actors but nothing else, bad dialogues, everything feels just surface, not deep. It’s just K trying to persuade C into dating him and C saying he can’t due to his duty but failing up resisting (something watchers know even before starting the series). Also, why does Zee have a filter on his face h24? We know his age, we see him through other canals so there’s no need for that (another thing that feels fake). The only thing that feels right is the end, great decision.
- Ads slapped into our face
That damn face water or something, just a big no for me.
- Ava
I like her, she’s beautiful and amazing. I was happy to finally see a Girl you know? A woman who stands up for herself. That was until they decided to throw everything she did in the trash for a reason I can’t imagine. The plot is already messed up so why decide to ruin things even more with an incoherent character?
- Script and direction → acting
Everything I’ve said until now is decided by the director and the screenwriter. Also, I don’t entirely like the dialogues some are lame or fruitlessly cheesy. The actors do their job, follow the script and the instructions but the results aren’t good. The screentime isn’t well managed. This could have been a good series, rated seven/eight by me but ends up being huge mess.
I can not recommend this series, I’m sorry, but please go watch ep 8, just that, and I swear you won’t regret it!
Thank you for reading
Bye Bye <3

JUST WATCH IT

I don't have much to say here, you guys just have to watch this series. It may be because this is my cup of tea, it is a genre I particularly like, but I don't give 10s like that, I'm kinda strict. I liked it all, everything. I didn't want it to end, guys. Acting, production, story, music; I could see, hear and feel the amazing work and the high budget beyond this. My favourite episode is number 13: you'll see Han-na at her best, she's my favourite character. She's amazing, cool, smart, beautiful, just everithing.
Go watch it !!

great plan, modest result

1: Story.
The first thing I wanna say is that I liked the idea of the plot: a series where you want to show the routine of a couple so a life between love, work and friends. That's what we can see in the first seven episodes, right? Too much, that's boring! The thing is that it isn't due to the plot but to the number of episodes in which nothing happened (except for Gulf's problem at work). While watching the show I felt for example that Fiat wasn't doing anything except for flirting and this until episode ten (of twelve)! Why didn't it happen at least an episode before? Also how about the side couples? I'd have preferred more scenes with the three beautiful side couples that we got. In conclusion, there was a bad time management.
Secondly, I wanna talk about the two main characters of Tharn and Type because, honestly, I was expecting a better development of them. In my opinion, Type is the one who has changed a little bit and we can see it because of the moment where he punched his boss to defend his boyfriend. This means that he is much more confident and less uncomfortable saying that he is gay. I'm sorry but I have to say that Tharn is still too much jealous and his reaction after Fiat's kiss is exaggerated, he is still too immature. Talking about the couple I can see more passion in their actions and eyes while having s*x and I appreciate it but how about other situations? I want to mention two different events: Type's problem at work and Type's revenge against Fiat. In the first one, although Tharn tried to discuss the problem with his partner (and this is the development of Mew's character) because he was seeing him in a bad mood, Type refuses to talk to him at first. In the second one, Type acts precisely as he acted seven years before with Lohng. In both of these situations Type refuses to talk to Tharn. Why can't they still talk to each other after seven years of relationship?
Lastly, I wanna ask: why the behaviour of Type's father is still the same as seven years before?

2: Acting.
I'll start talking about Mew and Gulf because they are good as always. I've also said it before mentioning hot scenes although they're good in all the scenes. In particular, I want to talk about the scene where Tharn was crying after the 'we have to take a break' and Type's crying scene at the beach after calling Tharn: both of them are done so well! Honestly, I am a little bit disappointed in the acting of the side couples' actors because the scenes seem to be unnatural. It hurts so bad because I liked those side couples!

3: Music.
I haven't much to say about the music. The ost is good but I preferred the first season's ones.

4: Rewatch value.
Because the first seven episodes are almost the same, I think that I won't rewatch all of them but I'll only choose to watch my favourite scenes another time (P.S. I don't consider the rewatch value in my final rating).

P.S. An important thing I wanna add is the fact that in my opinion, WE EXPECTED TOO MUCH from this second season that's why a lot of us are disappointed.

thank you for reading my review :)
