Nope, nope, nope 😣. Dropping it hard.
I just can't watch these frustrating dramas with exaggerated plots about bullying and revenge, especially if it's about hormonal teenagers with s*it for brains. Gotta look after my blood pressure 😀.

Edit: My mistake ... There's no kiss πŸ™ˆπŸ™…In part 1 , when jang uk was saved by jin bu yeon from soul shifting…
I didn't mean she liked him in romantic way. She liked him, cuz he was a good boy, she saw his potential. Though he was lazy af in the beginning, Naksu had to constantly kick him to do anything 🀣.

I think she just liked Uk. After all, she left the ice stone for him to protect in the future, instead of taking it away. It's unclear how much of the future she foresaw, but I think she knew he had a fate of King's star.
This drama needs a special compilation of extra fan service episodes like in Mr. Queen.
And instead of abrupt time skip and bare minimum of epilogue conversations that left the impression of the ending being rushed and unimpactful, I'd have liked to see:
-All the good guys getting together for the final time for some fun;
-How Naksu was officially accepted by mama Jin as JBY body's caretaker;
-Uk telling at least maidservant Kim that JBY is actully his lost hatched bird, Naksu. Maidservant Kim deserves to know, many unrelated people know already;
-CP (I mean new king now) finding himself a queen;
-Uk accepting Gwanju post, which CP waits for him to give;
-etc.

I criticize the quality of the writing a lot in Part 2, but i must admit these lines are truly magical ✨."To…
Yea, poor guy still has the ice stone inside him and it was shown that only a priestess with her innate divine powers can keep all those clingy, cold, dark spirits at bay so that he can sleep. Furthermore, without her love he was contemplating suicide, by returning she gave him reason to live with his burden.

The "Love Letter" never reached Jin Seol Ran, but Uk's and Yeong's love sure did β™₯
I got an impression that master Lee did everything he could to butter up JSR to keep Naksu alive for Uk. He even performed that wedding ceremony just before Naksu had to disappear. Softened old granny’s heart.

so cho yeong is still a soul shifter? will she eventually run wild?
She still is a soul shifter. But JBY's priestess body will indefinitely continue protecting her like it did in part 1. Furthermore, her body and soul look identical now, so no energy will leak out. And now there's no Jin Mu with his bells to threaten her life anymore.
The only downside is that she no longer has magic powers, but has divine powers.

I feel exactly the same. I’m having a hard time finishing the last episode because of these exact reasons. Plus…
I dunno, part 2 had plenty of night scenes as well. I'd say bigger part of outside scenes were filmed at night. And what's your point? That they had way smaller budget for part 2? It's looked obvious already. That doesn't excuse sloppy editing and weird incoherency of some of the scenes in the last episode.

More romance in this 2nd season, I guessed that's why they chose the younger actress GYJ as the female lead, for…
1. FL got changed back to look like og Naksu (same actress)
2. She had an amnesia for 8 episodes straight, she didn't remember s*it.
3. Even when she finally rememberd herself, those were all memories. She, as well as Uk, have changed in that 3 years gap. Memories added up to her current personality, you can clearly see a drastic change in the last 2 episodes, but they've stopped defining her. She already softened up at the end of part 1, in part 2 it's just a continuation of her character development.
And she stopped being an assassin bent on revenge early in part 1, after she learned Jin Mu used her and killed her family.

What if in part 1 Jin Seol-Ran let Naksu run wild so Jang Uk will die to use the ice stoneMaybe she could've stop…
I doubt it. JSR really needed King's star to help defeat incoming evil. She wasn't gonna use it herself.

Tbh, I was baffled of total lack of extras in the ending fighting scenes.
Where were all the Songrim mages? Only Yul and Dang Gu were fighting Jin Mu's goons.
Where were all the Jinyowon guards? Defeated somewhere offscreen?
Why PDG and JCY couldn't find Jin Mu? And why Jin Mu unnoticed returned for Park Jin? Why they put the fire bird at the stairs of Cheonbughwan, instead of going with it to the courtyard right away? Those haphazard movements kinda point that they've messed something up last minute, probably was written differently originally, but required more time.

Anyway, the script was passable, though with some plot holes. But execution and editing were very sloppy in the last episode.

1. There are no doors Uk can't open because of the the ice stone. Furthermore, the portal for the turtle was opened…
1. Can't say anything about the queen and nephew finding Jin Mu. Luck? Prison being not so big?
But Jin Mu knew how to both enter and leave the prison. It's in Cheonbughwan, after all, and he's the leader. As you recall, he told Jin ladies about it when he threw Jin plaque inside the portal.
2. They openly raided Jinyowon. Guards were useless. But considering those grandpas represent all the most powerful mage families I guess they were simply overwhelmed. That it was shown offscreen is a shame, of course.
3. It wasn't shown what he would have done, but it all happened so shockingly fast that Jin women couldn't react in time. Gotta keep in mind they're also consistently pretty dumb.
But the guy was really desperate getting it done quickly, because he was on the brink of going wild already and was draining bodies. Probably that's why he threw all caution to the wind and acted so rashly. Also, his cabal was destroyed and plans revealed so it was a do or die situation.
