On Joseon Attorney: A Morality Apr 2, 2023
With this drama having societal anachronisms it looks more like your typical modern revenge story about a lawyer/detective/prosecuter/justice warrior/etc. vs. corrupt politicians but in an alternate reality Joseon. That's ok, contemporary plots like these have been beaten to death already, at least the setting is somewhat fresh.
They could have done away with cliches like "puppet king vs. evil scheming minister" though. It's basically every saeguk's point of conflict.

So based on the current episodes, Lee Yeon Joo's (FL) uncle, the previous king of Joseon, died. After their uncle…
It's not a saeguk if the minister is not the villain 🥱

I think the king is yeon joo's cousin.. he is a regent because of the late king's death (yeon ju's father). She…
Regents are people who temporarily rule in someone else’s stead. Usually when the heir is too young. But here we have a regent who is also king. Weird, maybe bad translation. And maybe there is some kid there with more rights to the throne who is too young to rule.

Can somebody explain to me what the deal is with FL? She’s a princess, but is allowed to live outside the palace and own a business. Why is she not married off to some nobleman? Is the king her real brother or they have different parents? Why the king is the regent, but also king?

No.

1. Hypocritical main character who knows what she does is evil and hides it from her daughter, but loves doing it anyway.
2. Abrupt, unresolved ending.
3. Weak, silly crime syndicates.
4. Unclear moral of the story. Be true to yourself? Bs, FL should have told her daughter about her job then. Her daughter turned out to be the only one who's true to herself.

7/10 overall from me and that's mostly for those few entertaining fighting scenes. But if you wanna watch the real deal - go watch John Wick.

🤷🏻‍♂️ The twin theory is sound, but no proof so far.

People complaining there is no romance ?? Did we all not watch episode 14?
I don't care that the romance is slow, I'm not really invested in it here. But I care about the overall plot and it is not worth so many episodes.

Finished episode 14. They're really dragging it out, aren't they? Why is it 20 episodes? Should have been 12 with how much plot there actually is.

The cliffs of death (that every main character ALWAYS survives) are the white trucks of doom of sageuks tbh 😂…
Yea, but Truck-kun kills 💯.
I recall in recent The Forbidden Marriage FL jumped off twice and survived like nothing happened, she was totally a high diver pro 😂. FL here apparently tries to beat her record, it's a draw for now.
Irl, from that height they all should have drowned due to losing consciousness from impact and broken some bones.

Episode 13:
1. Assassins are dumb af for not checking the bodies. As we know from saeguks people never die from falling off cliffs into the water and more so from rolling off hills.
2. Cliff by the river with a dead tree was petrified bodies dumping spot into the lake in Alchemy of Souls. Irl, there's no lake or river down below, but lots of greenhouses, which are coverd by CGI.
3. Second couple continues to be the most interesting to watch.
4. The plot continues to be sloooow af. Should have been 12 episodes max.

The guard did in an earlier episode. He heard everything and he looked sus after he walked away. But since he acts clueless and CP vouched for him as a witness, it means there's a high chance of guard having a double.

Are you talking abt Movie version or series? cuz I am planning to watch it
Watch the movie. And while you're at it, watch True Lies (1994) movie as well. Depending on what the wife's secret is it's gonna be like one of these two movie plots. Personally I'm thinking it's gonna be more like True Lies.

I watched episode 1 of Tomorrow after this one, but it didn't grab me immediately. The worldbuilding is more fascinating…
Tomorrow is one of those dramas that starts to get interesting after a few episodes when everything is established and it isn’t one of those with obligatory happy endings for every story it tells. I liked that there was no annoying soap in it or dumbassery, Uncanny Counter was very hard for me to finish because of that. And Rowoon’s acting is way better than that noob kid who was playing ML in UC.
