I really don't like what they did with the amnesia thingy. BOTH SJ AND In Seong: "I lost all my memory as a child…
I feel like In Seong is lying about amnesia, he's sus. And was child outsider Sung Joon really ML? Or is it another take on classic false memories switcheroo, where parents went so far as to swap their kids names? If the child Sung Joon really is ML then he never was was one of the boys, even though he visited the Hope Center. But then, what about his nightmares about being chased by dogs? If it's false memories imprint then this drama is copying plots from What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? and Cafe Minamdang, and I'm sure there were others like that.
Ok, it's all clear with FL - she fell for ML. But it's not clear with ML - he seems to like her as well, suddenly is very protective and nice to her, even her attempts to push him away don't seem to work anymore, but at the same time he is oblivious? Or is he? 🤨 We don't get to see scenes where he's thinking about it like we get with FL.
FL spraining both her hands as easy as that felt relatable. I once fell off a bike trying clipless pedals for the first time and managed to sprain both my wrists as well. If was fcking painful, couldn't even put clothes on without struggle. And it actually took 3 weeks for the hands to heal, not one. A friend of mine also fell on one of his hands like that recently and got a fractured bone in his forearm - a month of pain and a cast. So you can say FL got lucky, so to speak. Also, you can't pull off a cast as easy as that, but I think here it was done like that just for giggles.
Heck yeah, next week is back to fun stuff! That's what I'm here for. Sad backstory, while necessary, took way too many episodes to cover. We've got only 6 episodes left.
ML is one of the boys, but he's not Yoon Jae. If you've seen the preview FL suggests that he has false memories.…
It's unclear whether he actually knows whom she had adopted or not. He only came to her because it was revealed to him that Yoon Jae is ML. So it means it was not known to him where the boys ended up after that Hope Center.
Not every episode ending with me having more questions and confusion... What if the judge is the real yoon jae…
ML is one of the boys, but he's not Yoon Jae. If you've seen the preview FL suggests that he has false memories. Such phenomenon can happen irl and I've seen it before in kdramas. This year's Cafe Minamdang, for example, had a psycho villain whose memories were swapped by psychiatrist to think that his brother was a murderer and not him.
Also, 24 may still be alive without the boys knowing.
Why Baek Moon Kang decided to kill Jung Man Chun and his family? He didn't do it when he was a suspect of his daughter's murder, why later when he knew he wasn't the killer? Because he could have told somebody about the killer's call JMC recorded? BMK was the one who got that evidence from his wife? But how did he know where to look if he came to kill her before going to kill JMC?
And forget about In Sung looking sus, likely being one of the boys and seemingly knowing brother judge. Brother judge is still the prime suspect of being the murderer by being the only one among them to be able to rig the jury, wearing those same running shoes with yellow paint on the sole, crafting figures out of wood and many other little coincidences. And if he somehow is not the killer then he covers for him or they're working together.
Looks like there is no more fun stuff in sight 🙁 . Starting from that murder case and following up with ML's backstory - did the writers have to shift the narrative tone so drastically? I'm losing interest here, it just starts looking like your typical detective drama about a prosecutor/lawyer/detective/etc. released a dozen times each year 🥱 .
Just finished Ep. 2 - really like the main leads and peripheral characters. But it's a pain to watch on-line (VPn…
No romance so far. But they've started ML's backstory in episode 6, why he became a one dollar lawyer - there's was a woman in his past that he liked, who apparently died. She was top ace lawyer in FL grandpa's law firm.
Wow, so many pro-marriage with that asshat SML commenters here. 🤦♂️ I disagree, personally, that he's the guy that would have made FL happy. He's unreliable, shady, doesn't care about her needs. And she herself doesn't even know what being happy means - conforming to society norms, making her parents happy? But they're not the ones that will have to live with that guy. Those are not good enough reasons, if it can be helped. The one and only good reason in the end is that the person makes you happy. Don't care about society norms, too many people around get married and divorced a few years later, because they're too immature and/or simply not compatible. That's the real society norm nowadays. And women often end up with kids they must raise on their own. But hey, they can at least claim that they were married, right? But I suppose FL here is so deep in her midlife crisis and insecure about herself, she desperately wants to marry any man that'd propose to her. 🙄
I somehow ship Kang Chaeri more with the ML. Had he not been in love with the FL, they woukd have been a fireworks…
Yea, she could have been a more exciting to watch FL. And she doesn't give any fcks to what everybody thinks of her. She also looks like a more complicated character than FL, not everything is on the surface with her.
While FL simply reached her midlife crisis and just wants to conform to society norms. Marrying an asshat untrustworthy guy just because he noticed and dated her at one point? And then returned after ditching her several years ago like nothing happened? She has no self respect and with everyone being so pushy she clearly didn't think this through. Good thing that guy turned out dirty, or it would have ended in divorce a year later anyway🤣 ML said it right - it's not good being so easy/desperate. And he's not easy because he understands that it's a serious step, not something you need to cross of your list of things to do in life. I get that FL is feeling lonely and undesired, but she simply seems to have bad taste in men, running after one fishy guy after another. Or is it her desperation that attracts only the fishy guys? Not sure which one is worse - the chef dude or her ex. I bet there were others like them.
did this man just come back after years to propose like this!?! he gotta go with this bs
Yea, dude ditched her to pursue his career dreams and now returns after several years and pushes her to marry him like it's not a big deal. His easy "sorry" and "I missed you" are not cutting it. It was very uncomfortable to watch how he was coming on FL. Even she looked uncomfortable. This guy clearly has no respect for FL's opinions or consent, just like those years ago. I hope FL has some respect in herself and won't be a dumbass to start all over again with him. 🤢
Same goes for that blind date girl that tries to nab ML with her agressive "innocent friendship". Yea, right. I bet she's already planning how to name their kids. 🙄
