Ok, this is becoming clearer with each episode. And I already suspected this. Theory below:
So now we know that bald restaurant owner is ML's brother. His wife was murdered quite possibly by Gido who also loved her. Also, Gido's father and ML's father are connected somehow in the past and they have the same patriot watch. Basically, two brothers seek revenge on Gido's family for the crimes against their own family.
ML works to unmake them by finding evidence of their corruption, even though the show very bluntly shows him as prime suspect. He's not the actual killer, but he may know who is, because he's always so unfazed about hearing the news about the next victim, or when confronted about it by the police. But the bald brother is a disturbed person who is still not over the death of his wife and attemps suicide on regular basis. He murders victims through amnesiac proxy.
This show basically reenacts the plot from the movie Memento - look it up if you haven't seen it. I think Lee Dongpil=amnesiac=killer. Something happened to him and he suffers from frequent "resets" of his short term memory, but he still remembers his dead wife, just like the protagonist in Memento. Every time the bald brother tells him that what happened to him is the fault of Lee Dongpil, whom he must find and "do whatever he wants" aka. kill him. He gives him instructions where to find "Lee Dongpil" and sends him on his way - the amnesiac goes and kills the next victim, thinking it's "Lee Dongpil", only to forget everything the next day.
Third wheelers are so pushy here, it's very annoying to watch. Even the leads look uncomfortable. I have more fun watching FL bickering with her rival at work than witnessing this cringey puke inducing love square. Also, called it that ML has unrequited feelings for FL. Can't beat the classic. And though ridiculous premise is very similar, I enjoy Law Cafe more than this.
Agreed, basically it was all ML's doing who just used Hyo Rin's account. In Hye had nothing to do with it. Not…
To be fair, that monologue In Hye gives at the end is not something she actually speaks to her sisters, it's her thoughts and wishes. Couldn't even utter a single grateful word to them throughout the whole show π. And yea, In Kyung taking that money would be extra hypocritical from her part (but she has plans now and wouldn't want to live off her bf). And the show conveniently ends on them seeing receiving it. What will they do with it later? Fcking spend it of course! π€£
I don't understand why In Hye in the final words says that SHE is sharing that money with her sisters, that money…
Agreed, basically it was all ML's doing who just used Hyo Rin's account. In Hye had nothing to do with it. Not to mention that the epiphany In Joo had during the trial and the whole final message of this show about money being the root of evil basically was cancelled out by giving them all that villains dirty money in the end. The show's ending was hypocritical.
Writing of this drama is frustratingly uneven π€¦ββοΈ . Episode 11 was great, but now we're back to boring filler π₯±. I think 16 episodes is too much for it.
ML's profession and character is quite similar Crazy love 's ML Noh Go Jin. But then ML 's indifferent character…
Yea, can't help but draw similarities with Crazy Love, but leads here are probably gonna play older characters, cuz, hotdamn, FL actres is 49! π. Looks like private instructors make good money in SK since they're becoming popular in dramas. I was getting tired of lawyers/prosecutors/judges as leads all the time, so why not.
Isn't Eun Ki's mom the nurse that was talking to Baek Moon Kang in a earlier episode. I thought maybe her mom…
Her mom was working there as a nurse. Sheβs also one of the main leads. She most likely is saved for last for the hero to save, itβs a classical move.
Today's episode had a lot of fluffy cheese and hot stuff, and that treasure hunt was entertaining. However, I think that dad had too much faith in his daughter's capacity to solve his poem riddles. She would have ended up penniless if it weren't for the Law Cafe team π.
P.S. That street that goes downhill at the end of the episode looks just like the one where FL from Crazy Love lived. P.P.S. The bad guy is a sad walking cliche, can't even take him seriously with how bad he is.
wow looks like its becoming really messy, looks like writer didn't knew how the hell to develop a character/ story,…
Yea, it's a serial murder drama. The killer so far: -100% is the one who killed and mutilated 3 innocent women who were related to the bad guys; -95% is the one who killed the original convict and his family of wife and child; -99% is the one who killed the taxi driver juror/bad guy; -100% attempted to murder the crippled juror/Number 7 (we'll see if he survives in the next episode)
Personally I think he did all that by himself except maybe murder of the original convict's family - there was something sus about it, though he did threaten to kill them if the convict spills the beans. And ffs, there are still 8 (!) more episodes to go and plenty of jurors to go through, not to mention the bad guys. But already it starts to feel annoying and repetitive with how dumb, sus and reactive everyone is. Everybody chases the wrong guy that they think is the culprit and just react to the killer's next move. I bet he sits with a popcorn somewhere, laughing his ass off watching all these clowns scrambling to figure who he is.
This show is making me sick. Everyone is dumb and sus and susing everyone. The killer is a coward who, instead of taking revenge on real bad guys who did him wrong, takes his frustrations on weak innocent victims who are related to them. And those innocent victims of course absolutely coincidentally are all women and one was even a child. And absolutely coincidentally he has the need to mutilate them in most disturbing ways. He just seeks revenge, right? It's not like he's a digusting psycho and takes pleasure in meticulous disfiguring of their faces. Yea, right π This show asks ages old rhethorical question - why men are such crazy monsters sometimes? Abuse, assault, rape, serial murder - you'd very rarely hear that the perp was a woman, most often it's the other way around.
It was villains dirty money they've laundered through criminal schemes. I'd say the most legit owners could be…
It's still called a criminal scheme if it's done to evade taxes. And where exactly that money came from originally if not from that bankrupt bank's misfortune? The villains were behind it.
I saw someone mad bcs they reposting the wrap up party picture and about buyeon I think GYJ also play Buyeon if…
Yea, I saw it, there's something about her and Bu-Yeon. Probably gonna be situation reversal where it's Naksu's og body now, but still with two souls inside - hers and Bu-Yeon's. The other small possibility is that Naksu's soul will die/gets separated and it's actually Bu-Yeon in her body. But that would really suck, Naksu is the FL we all know and love, not the barely known Bu-Yeon.
Don't judge me but how the 70b was injoo's money? Isn't the money her friend embezzled? The one she was sent to…
It was villains dirty money they've laundered through criminal schemes. I'd say the most legit owners could be that bankrupt bank's victims, they were the latest ones. Maybe they'll still be compensated in the end behind the scenes when that criminal family's assets get redistributed.
Because she's very ungrateful to her sisters, who'd do anything for her. This is not like the situation you describe…
Why do people sacrifice so much to raise their children? Is it not to continue their legacy, to see that their children achieved a better life and became more successful than they could ever become themselves, to insure that in their senior years they are looked after? I get that it puts pressure on children to keep themselves within standarts their parents put them in. But in the end, as you get older you start thinking about it from a different perspective, both as a parent and as a child. If there's real love in the family, like what was shown here with elder sisters, the child can never become a disappointment and nothing is asked in return - it's unconditional.
I was lurking here recently, looking for new pictures from the set. Nothing really interesting so far, sadly. But since they've finished filming maybe a new teaser soon is not too much to hope for? However, I did laugh at showrunners weird and futile attempts at hiding GYJ's face in all the pics with emojis. Come on, everybody knows she's gonna be in AoS: LaS, why even bother? π€¦ββοΈπ
P.S. Btw, don't know about you guys, but as time passed I got over that unceremonious ditching of JSM's character and am looking forward the finale with GYJ (I hope she delivers!). I view this now as a dark comedy analogy akin to grand theft auto - it was stolen by a perp, used and abused, and after losing control crashed into the lake π€£. I know, I know, not funny, #BuYeonDeservedBetter, but I'm sure her story is not over yet, considering her child actress will be present in LaS.
I mean, they put in those references and cameos from actors' other works - Hot Stove League, The Veil, Awaken. Haven't seen so many in a single drama. You can't help but wonder if it's not some sort of fan service tribute to NKM. Personally, I'm not a fan of these types of inserts and inside jokes, because not everyone watched referenced works and just won't get the meaning behind them.

And that scene at the end of episode 4 had me question FL - if you're so not interested in ML why'd you come out to spy on him? π
