The villains here are def not the brightest tools in the shed, which is very unfortunate. It's one of the most disappointing things in this drama, imho.
The best marquis villain with two sons I've seen so far was in Legend of Zang Hai - proper complex, compelling villain.

Btw, it's not hair suddenly becoming white, it's pigmented hair falling off, leaving only unpigmented behind. Those people already had white hair. Also, it's not exactly overnight, but can happen in just 2 weeks or so.

She def couldn't at the beginning when he was distrustful of her, he would have just divorced her right then and there, lol, and then it's back to the mountain with her. Later, when she got the edict, she again talked to her imaginary maid (herself) pondering what to do, but got scared he'd drive her away again and decided to wait as long as it lasts. She already knew he's not gonna take it well. I sympathize with FL here way more.

Talking about something else, anybody else felt that the marquis's sons were a waste of screen time? They didn't contribute much to the main plot. Was it to add some complexity to marquis's character? Tbh, that character is so one tone, his sons' plots looked tacked on.

I've read a good counter post below arguing that ML also didn't marry FL out of love, in fact, he was mean and neglectful to her at the beginning. FL could also get angry at him, but she didn't.
Anyway, the guy's clearly taking it very poorly. And looks like FL won't be able to clear this misunderstanding like she did before.

Exactly, they didn't marry out of love, or willingly either way. It was all earned later, but now he chooses to believe like nothing happened and it was all fake.

So, divorce talk still incoming? ML is not as infallibe as others are singing here?
Anyway, everyone already knows that there's gonna be an angst part of the drama with the leads separating. It's just a question of how well it's gonna be executed.

I read her posts and I just disagree. ML's gonna handle it poorly.

Let's just wait and see what's gonna happen next. Maybe it's like you say and he'll kindly ask her to choose, but FL will decide to leave him (but so far she looked like she really didn't want to). Or maybe he'll really mention divorce and hurt FL so much with his mean words, she'd definitely has no choice but to leave him. Either way their touted good communication clearly is a bust here.

Let's see what he's gonna do next so that she leaves alone back to the mountain.

He also said early grey hair is something that runs in his family. Men having full grey hair at 40. It's a rather common condition, some people start greying at around 30.

He's also gonna backpedal from all his promises to her? Like never ever separating no matter what? Breaking man's word here. And married couples always have trials that test their bond, seems like ML can't handle even the first one.

From stress, it was already mentioned. FL is stressing the f out of him, lol.

And that's exactly why it's such a dick thing to say after everything they've been through. ML suddenly not trusting FL's feelings at all here, hurting her with this suggestion.
