I’m not sure what you are confused about. Sure, the secondary couple scenes feel like they were tacked on at times, and they may not be very interesting as characters in general. But there’s nothing illogical in the plot. In fact, it’s quite intricate and well thought out, if you’re paying attention. And the main couple’s romance is advancing, they even went on a date already despite the chaos.

The evil brother did that to SML not because he hated him (though, being evil I'm sure he hates everybody), but because he wanted to threaten SFL, who was about to release a bombshell article about him. That’s why she left SML, to protect him from further harm. It was explained in the episode, but you probably missed it due to FF. Same story’s about to happen to the main couple.

Mothers hate each other because of the professional jealousy spanning decades. Was also explained earlier.

Kwon Se-Na is just an ordinary delulu bish working for the evil brother. Basic archetype.

That fighting scene at the parking lot with the stunt team, lol. Hilarious 🤣.
ML and the director have the funniest scenes in this drama.

Tbh, that second couple is not very interesting to watch. These support characters are only interesting in the context that they are involved in the evil brother plot, are part of FL's workplace and are butting in the main couple's affairs. I'm not even sure lack of screentime is the problem.

Yea, and ML is getting more mature with every episode, especially the last ones. With his smoothtalking and the way he handles people, he’s actually being revealed as a very nice and cool guy.

It's a slow burn drama. Everyone will get together only at the end, it seems. But they're getting there.

Well, it's a trope. But not every drama has it. There are dramas where FL confesses first.

FL is such a shy dork, ML had to invent a concerted plot with other guys to lure her to his house and trap her in a massage chair to listen to his confession again 🤣.

I would have given all the awards to Our Unwritten Seoul, not sure why it wasn't nominated here. FL there was exceptional and was playing a difficult double role.

I guess awards are only for what's popular and popular idols.

And for the dumbest of reasons, no less.

Well, the Manipulated was pretty much makjang with that villain.
But yea, there rarerly a drama nowadays that embraces it fully.

Omg, how many more dumb cliches can this drama have? Now we have an obligatory breakup in the teaser, because of course we must suffer through that. Besides the cute main couple, the plot isn't interesting enough as it is, now they gonna waste screen time even more on this bs? I'm already skipping most of the boring stuff like that work cringefest, evil sister plotting and annoying SML scenes. It's all turning into a big trainwreck. As usual, seems like it had a great start and gonna end on boring finish.
This drama should have been 10-12 episodes tops, there's not enough meat on the bones of this plot and cliches most of the time are portrayed in the dumbest, cringiest ways.

Though it was a coincidence, but it was basically FL who saved him. If she wasn't there, he probably would have died there on the road from profuse bleeding. That English teacher would have lured him out of the house anyway, I think.
And FL saved him again later when there was another attempt on his life.

The day at his vacation house was basically the D-Day - everybody was plotting something against him that day.

Keep watching, there's more than one villain here actually.

The difference here being SML is a third wheel in a budding relationship, and he clearly sees it's ongoing and is being jealous. SFL though doesn't stick into anything ongoing, it's ongoing only in delulu SML's head.

If she thought he wasn't safe to be around, she wouldn't have ended falling asleep at his house, for sure. So yea, she simply gotta digest that whole situation.
