Ok, so pretty much like it is for kdramas 😓
Too bad you can't trust the ratings here whatsoever. It makes it hard to find anything decent to watch.

Yea, I know people have very specific preferences here and ratings can't be trusted. I know what they are for kdramas, but not really for cdramas, I'm out of the loop here. This drama has good production and plot, scenes are coherently filmed (which is often a problem in c-media), actors are pretty good too. So what is it? Not enough hype? Not a romance drama? Actors are unpopular?

Why such low ratings? I rarely watch c-dramas, because many of them are cringey or have wooden acting, but this one's pretty good.

FL here has a very punchable smug face. The plot is pretty good though.

Yea, I'm not saying she's perfect here, but compared to ML...
And she can do better, I've seen her in Snowdrop and Lovely Runner. It's probably the direction here.

Goblin is an overrated boring slog. This drama is way better, imho.

ML's acting is so bad, there's no saving it. That his character is so dumb isn't helping either.
FL actress is doing all the work here basically. She's shouldn't have taken this dubious project, the plot is very meh.

That she was there for the land, not the kid is just fked up. She never cared for him, but gonna use the opportunity to get the land, for sure.
And I disagree with FL, typical preacher. I'd rather not know I was abandoned and unwanted, and that my mother is a money hungry bish. Better stay sad that parents died. It's like that bish of a mother in Extraordinary Attoreny Woo - sometimes they are just evil bishes and there's no reformation or birth of a conscience upcoming.

That mom returning for her kid when he's already all grown up can take a hike. She skipped the most difficult years by dropping him on ML, and now she wants to barge into his life like nothing happened. I understand the kid wanting to have parents, but he doesn't need that terrible woman to make his life happy.

I don't like that ML actor. He's always having samey blank teddy bear facial expressions.

1 programmer writing a whole Intranet solution+digital documentation system in 3 days for a big company is ridiculous. But there's a lot of ridiciouls stuff here, I guess.

ML is still acting like a dumb confused fish. Bad acting and badly written lines that mostly consist of dumb questions over and over again.

Not being able to film in a dim room is bs, there are plenty of movies and dramas where it's done ok and everything can be seen. If you're incompetent, then make a scene before bed, ffs. It just looks very stupid.

Fkn turn off all the frikin lights, ffs! It's not like ALL film staff are so incompetent they can't film a scene in the dark. Just in every single kdrama, they sleep with full illumination 😠
Especially ridiculous are FL's parents - they sleep with lights on and sleeping masks 🤣

Yea, it's so ridiculous. This is just a plot device for FL's arc at this point. Not much going on with her besides this.

This drama blows even the trivial things out of proportion.
Honestly, they should start dating in the open. Nobody should care, ML has no wife or gf. School teachers are also humans, they're not robots with no feelings.
And scandal in Seoul could have been easily dealt with years ago - just sue the mfs into oblivion. FL's family have the means and irl they would have done that immediately. Instead they decided to hurt their own daughter, no matter whether it was her fault or not, and their own reputation by dragging this on.

I'm talking about the character obv, not the actress.
