I find their scores aligning with my ratings of the watched media most of the time. But again, I don't go there looking for asian media scores, too few people leave scores for them.

I feel like that leak/rumor really spoiled this drama. Everyone are now anxiously waiting that FL will die or will be replaced by another actress in the end, with heated arguments for both actresses. Could have been a great surprise, but now it's ruined. Oh well, on the bright side, if it does end on a bad cliffhanger at least we're somewhat mentally prepared.

I wonder if there's some side plot going on with her, why she so agressively decided to get herself some guy. Is it just because she really likes ML and wants to get him out of her head with another man? Or she's being forced to marry by her parents? Just seems kinda weird, this change. I hope it won't come to bite her in the ass later.

Kdrama showrunners often do promotional stills and videos of actors on sets with different clothes that don't appear in the actual drama whatsoever. So I wouldn't get your hopes high.

I think her inner monologue started to be VO'd by GYJ from around episode 12, but it was hardly distinguishable from JSM's voice. It was way more clear in episode 14.

Agreed, since they've established that Daeho's society is based on a historical one they should stick with it, otherwise it would look weird if some anachronistic elements are introduced that don't mesh with the rest of it.

Well, you can't look at one thing and separate it from the others. The whole society shown in this drama is clearly based on your typical medieval times, with class and gender segregation, so putting elements that don't fit in with the rest of its presentation may actually be off-putting.

And also, FL is supposed to stand out here, not only for her badass magic and fighting skills, but also to show that she's an outcast basically raised by wolves. But you can see glimpses that she too wouldn't mind to fit in and be treated like a noble lady.

I disagree, scores on MDL are often misleading because they are greatly influenced by outside factors - from how much coverage the drama has on various networks, to rabid fans hyping their idol actor debuting on screen or scorebombing the drama into oblivion for some perceived slight of him, to cdrama vs. kdrama wars, etc.
I actually prefer imdb for scores, but sadly it has an abysmal score pool when it comes to asian media to make any informed opinion whether to watch it or not.

Besides the fantasy elements this drama may as well be your traditional saeguk drama. So yea, I think gender equality is not necessarily appropriate here. And also, there are more glaring issues here for you to be incensed - servants that are being sold as slaves and glaring poverty of the lower classes.

Haha, well said 🤣. I agree with everything, especially about the bloated episode count due to skippable multi angled love geometry figures. But it's still interesting to watch for me because I can't predict the main plot and love that it makes me pay attention to details.
