Any rumors will be quelled until part 1 has finished airing. But since they've started filming part 2 already FL is already set, we just don't know who it is. And they'll deny everything because it will spoil the ending of part 1.

Wonder what is the source of that article. All the others just repeat one Korean source and nowhere spin-off was mentioned. Just that 20 episodes was not enough to do all the characters justice and it was decided to split it in parts early on in pre-production. Also, 10 episodes for various side stories? Give me a break.

If writers were able to contain the story in a given format there wouldn’t need to be part 2 in the first place. It could have been self contained. But since they weren’t able to the story will be spilling to the next season. For better or worse.

As long as it's Naksu and Uk together in the end I'm down for it. Though you gotta admit that big part of this show's charm is Jung So Min's acting. Not sure og Naksu actress, or whoever else it may be will be just as good if Jung So Min leaves.

Or that Mu-Deok will be sacrificed and Naksu will regain her og body. Or if neither actress will return maybe Naksu will become bodiless again by the end and part 2 will be about getting her back in whatever new body.

I like og Naksu's action scenes. She's good in them I give her that. But I'm not sure about her acting skills, if she's gonna be the FL in part 2. But in any case, Naksu ftw, in whatever form.

But ML is not a soul shifter, his father was. But I get what you mean by being born under the King's star, which puts a certain destiny upon him.

I can only agree about one theory is that Mu-Deok being blind has something to do with the Ice Stone and that she's probably Jin.

Other theories are not right.
Jins are Ice Stone artifacts protectors and maybe descendants of that maid mage that performed the ritual in the past. Reincarnation is not a thing here anywhere so far. And it especially has nothing to do with Naksu. You're just headcanoning here your favorite trope it seems.

ML has his own soul, not late king's. His father switched back with the king with the help of soul ejector. Late king died of ilness in the end. But ML may actually be late king's son if that's how it works in this fantay world.

Theories, theories. Judging by the article the only thing clear is that Mu-Deok may be out in the end and new body for FL is in discussion, whether it be her original body or someone else. Way to spoil part 1 for everyone, jeez. Or was there a leak and now it's damage control?

Yea, if part 1 is self contained I'm ok with it.
But not being able to contain the story in 20 (!) episodes from the get go usually is not a good advertisment for the writers.

The fact that this thing is still not nailed down means the script is far from being finished and long wait for part 2 for us (personally, I hate multiseasonal stories and cash cow milking). I mean, this is a major decision to make for FL character if it's a direct sequel. Unless it's gonna be yet another body for Naksu to inhabit if Jung So Min won't sign for part 2.
