can go that way. but it would be very very very heartbreaking and disappointing
I just can't help but feel that mom's gonna get her way in the end, at least for a time until ML properly finishes his job's dangling loose ends in the US. As for them leaving to the US? Personally, I don't like it. FL will lose all of her friends and a job she likes, and ML too said he missed SK.
How about a bet? With all the cliches here how about an obligatory LDR and year long time skip to work on themselves/tie loose ends/prove they work hard even as a couple/whatever other bs reason? Kdrama writers can't help themselves with these.
I don't get the uncle suddenly starting crying about his first love from 20 (!) years ago and getting drunk all the time. He seemed fine before ML's appearance. Did he board the mass hysteria train since everybody are suddenly meeing their first loves?
The mother, not sure whether to trust the next week's teaser, but if she's as possessive of her son as she seems to be it's a big fat cliche I can't wait to skip. Seems like she's bitter and lonely and wants her son by her side all the time. If ML, a grownup adult, can't tell his mother to stop interfering with his life his shows of maturity are just a joke. He's smart enough to not depend on her financially so all she has on him is the regular old manipulative guilt tripping.
And SML is just manipulative trash as well, avoid at all costs. Nothing more to add.
I'm not sure whether FL is really into ML yet, it just looked like he wore her down. Until that annoying SML is out of picture for good it doesn't look very genuine so far.
My favorite part though are the secondary couple. No dumb first love or fate tropes, just a regular couple of co-workers. They're funny and cute, but man that teacher guy has serious problems talking with women.
I hate the interrupted conversations between Hye Ji and Gyeong Taek. She interrupts him every time and walks away.…
I hate it when characters are in the middle of some serious conversation and then a phone rings and they drop everything to answer the phone or run to solve some stupid problem. Just for the sake for drama and misunderstandings.
Yeah Bang Junho is annoying! Manipulator and narcissist! But on the other hand, I want to commend the actor (Yoon…
Yea, just because you're sick doesn't mean you should act like a selfish pos. Other people too have feelings and it's their choice whether to stay or not. Though with this personality I wouldn't - he's a manipulator and guilt tripping is not out of the picture. Whether he really loved FL is up to debate as well.
Sigh, not the beaten to death trope of disapproving parent thinking their child's too good for anybody. And what's up? ML is not even a chaebol, but still same bs reasoning.
Draggy ending, mediocre overall, 6.5. What was the moral of this story? That youth is fleeting and you gotta stress out less and enjoy it while it lasts? Sure, but coming from FL who's been sitting on her parents necks for 10 years I'd say she got it very easy, with them financially supporting her all the way. The shapeshifting aunt plot was weird and didn't stick the landing. Maybe would have been better with a typical disguised Ugly Betty plot or a spirit possessing the mind instead of the body. The romantic affair was skin deep, like in many kdramas. At first sight of trouble, or imaginary trouble - let's break up. No talking normally to each other, no trying to overcome the problem together and support each other, the usual kdrama bs. And overall ML and SML were pretty useless - the latter annoying, the former clueless most of the time.
ok....soo i get why the culprit killed Lee Mi Jin's aunt and Mr. Gye's mom and others....but i still don't get…
Yea, they try to picture the killer as serial one. But serial killers do their killing without a motive, their brains are just f*cked up, so to speak. But the killer here always seemed to have a motive, albeit a twisted one. FL's aunt and ML's mother were onto the killer and were killed to cover the killer's tracks. The first victim probably also did something to slight the killer, or her husband did.
Another dumb break up. At least it's good that only one episode is left. Looks like the last one will be a send off for the aunt. And there's something uncomfortably off about this drama. Maybe it's the potential prospect of your lover turning into a geriatric lady during the day. It's an old meme, but still reason enough for a break up, I suppose. Next time better stick to classical Ugly Betty shapeshifting plots, it always works. I'll just leave this here, lol: https://youtu.be/Sj4sF7-3TTw?t=55
How much older SML is than FL? He already published at least one book when she was in high school. Going to the army could have happened at any time before 38 (?). Where did she even meet him? He's some sort of SFL's relative or something?
For some reason I really didn't like FL and her friend, dropped at 3rd episode. Maybe not my type, didn't like…
Her friend is a better character than FL as it turns out. I'm more rooting for her and PE teacher at her school than the dumb main couple who can't talk like normal people.
Ex is just awful with words. I just can't understand how someone can say things like the ones he said in episode…
Ex's reasons for ditching FL are even more dumb. I thought he was mortally ill and went abroad for surgery or smth. But no, he just got writer's block, got broke and couldn't handle FL witnessing his fall from grace. No wonder he's playing dumb now that he recovered his fame and fortune. Still a trashy character.
