she has to be in on it; I feel like they will have another tragedy before it ends.
I feel like the villain will get killed by somebody else or will take his own life. It's been a recurring theme in this drama. FL can't be allowed to do it, but he just gotta die for her to be able to move on with her life.
Maybe she realised what ML did, was the right thing to do, but she won't admit it because she is trying to keep…
Her character has difficult personality - stubborn, self-righteous and very single minded when it comes to her revenge. ML is very fitting here - only calm and patient guy like him can weather her bouts of bad temper to then later reason with her. He gotta get over his depression and get back to her, and not allow her to push him away again. She looks like she has calmed down, but sure as hell won't apoligize first, as usual 😂.
Since the very start of the drama everything we heard about Consort Shu has been pretty bad, only her interactions…
Examples of her involvement? So far the only thing people can pin on her is the deleted synopsis likely copied from a novel, which didn't even explicitly stated which concubine is involved, and that she's the villain's sisiter. The novel had a different villain, btw, not the right chancellor.
Well written. This was my opinion too. They both were right and wrong. You only have to look at the scenarios…
Some people have attention span of a gold fish or are watching dramas in the background. Obviously they can't help but misunderstand and take things out of context. This drama's characters turned out to be pretty nuanced and it rewards those who were paying attention with references to previous episodes.
"In the whole drama, the greatest paradox is that the perfect Male Lead — the safest, softest, sweetest…
There’s really nothing divisive about it, he did the right thing. And it was FL who started spouting bs to hurt him. Some people simply weren’t paying attention. Some people are simply hypocritical and can’t accept the role reversal here. And some people wanted him to allow FL to exact bloody revenge, even if it cost her her life.
is the new case a trap to get FL by the villian? similar cosmic predictions used in FL familys case.. and now…
Not for FL, but for consort Shu this time. But people were really dumb back then, believing in all sorts of omens. Even ML, while not believing that celestial bodies' movements can bring calamities by themselves, throws coins for luck divination and gives excuses why he can’t even open a liquor jar 😂
the premise of ml stopping fl revenge and after talking about marriage is straight up misoginy (in my opinion…
Another one taking sentences out of context. Some of you guys really can’t pay attention or understand what characters are actually saying or their intentions , lol.
Btw, I think ML got sick not only because FL ditched him. The guy was working non stop for half a month with little rest to update the celestial calendar to gain merit. He wasn’t feeling well when he finished it. Add to that what happened later and you get exhaustion turned mental breakdown. The guy was just sleeping it off, lol.
Btw, isn't it ridiculous as a premise that one guy can kill a hundred servants in a mansion and they all let him like cows for slaughter, instead of running away from the mansion? They weren't killed in their sleep to make it believable. Nobody even questioned this at all. They could have at least burned the place down to make it more believable and cover their tracks. Another thing, with so many soldiers there actually doing the killings, it's kinda ridiculous that FL or her mentor couldn't find any of them later to testify. Did the villain ordered all of them killed later? And third, it's kinda ridiculous that soldiers were running around at night and nobody saw anything except for ML and his father. No neighbours or passers by. I guess the villain cleaned up after himself well behind the scenes. But for such a smart guy he sure looked like a dumbass giving that cliche villain exposition and gloating while FL was fighting his goons.
The revenge arc of Peiyi feels very similar to the revenge arc of Ling Buyi in Love Like The Galaxy. Both the…
Also, FL didn't have any concrete evidence here. If she killed the guy, the only evidence left would be her's and ex-army guy's testimony that they heard the villain's confession. And it's not a fact that the ex-army guy would have stayed to tell it though, as he is wanted. FL was already not in good graces with the emperor concerning this, so I'm sure he wouldn't have believed her this time either. But keeping the villain alive allowed the emperor to hear the confession from the horse's mouth, so to speak.
In the first case FL would have likely been severly punished for murdering a high ranking official, maybe even executed, with her father's honor not restored. ML was right in stopping her, even though he got so much flak for it. It's gonna take time and patience again from him to turn the stubborn FL around.
In the second case, she just got a slap on the wrist for poisoning the nobles.

Thankfully they also practiced herbal medicine, which actually could help.
