Does anyone have a clue why ML is not being acknowledged by grandpa as an heir while the other brother is? They have the same mother, both illegitimate, so why the heck is he being ostracized? I don't get it. Also, why not sue that reporter for stalking? They're chaebols, why aren't they using their power to get rid of him?
well on the other side if the surgery is unsuccessful theyd be blamed for doing it without consent.
Taking responsibility for failed surgeries comes with the job. But here we're talking about an emergency surgery to save a patient's life, if nothing is done a patient would die anyway. And doctors must do whatever they can to save people's lives, it's in their oath.
This I don't know, but in dramas this is a frequent enough plot point that it's not unimaginable.
Never seen it before for emergency patients. In any case, you can look it up - for emergency surgeries no consent is required. The only exceptions may be if the patient is one of those “body is sacred” nutjobs and either declines it himself if he’s conscious or has something to mark him as such like a document or hand band.
Also, FL got punctured lungs, with parts removed (!), fractured ribs but she looked like she had some minor surgery just after a few days, laughing and rolling around in a wheelchair, and even walking a bit later. This is nuts. A relative of mine got fractured ribs in a serious car accident, no lungs punctured, but he suffered severe pain for weeks just from moving and was laying in bed most of the time.
Btw, do you really need relatives consent to do surgery on an emergency patient to save his life?! How many emergency patients would die while hospital tries to reach their relatives (if there are any)? So dumb, nobody asks for anything in this case, as time is of the essence - patients go straight into reanimation for surgery. They are mistaking it for autopsy consent here, or non-life threatening surgeries. There's a lot of bs in this drama concerning medicine, but this one takes the cake I think.
Best case out of all the cases they solved till now. It just got better with each episode. Felt like each and…
I think the real MVPs here were the two reporters. The woman reporter has some serious dedication to her job, infiltrating the evil community like that. And her colleague who instead of reporting crap on ML got involved in this too and came to the crime scene immediately with the police to cover it live in case somebody from corrupt police force would try to sweep it under the rug.
FL gets no cookie though because she didn't tell anybody from the police about where she was going like she should, she didn't even tell her parents. She could have died there like a dumbass and she almost did, and could have left her family devastated. ML did ok though.
Did anyone else find FL ungrateful here? She didn't even thank ML for saving her life, not to mention helping her solve the case of her life. Heck, she didn't even say anything to him. I hope they'll give us this next week at least.
Sanada likes to die in his dramas, hope he survives this time around xD
His character Toranaga is based on Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate, so yeah, he'll survive. If you don't know the history of Sengoku period then read about him at least and also about William Adams, who was the real person behind the protagonist Blackthorne here.
That format is outdated, nobody has time for so many episodes nowadays.
But it's for old type of Asian period dramas where not much is going on in a single episode. Western media moved away from such long dramas though. Quality over quantity. And it's a trend in most modern dramas nowadays globally, with 8-16 approximately 1 hour long episodes being the norm.
ML for a supposedly smart guy is so chaotic with logic down the drain when it comes to dealing with FL. So many dumb, unnecessary moves that only made things worse 😂He's just winging it and soon gonna fall into a trap he tries to prepare for FL. I think he should stop obsessing about getting power through his brother's marriage and make some other plans. That SFL seems like a nice person who secretly loves him and they would have made a power couple that would have given his grandpa and other people pause. But he's too blind to look around, it seems.
Trueee and why he goes numb whenever someone points out jihan is capable one...i mean he is literally being trained…
I also wouldn't put it past dumb writers who do often tend to think that companies are like kingdoms with absolute monarchies and succession rites, instead of business ventures where profit is king.
I dunno whether grandpa really is senile and dumb or he's playing at something, but you can't force uneducated, incompetent person to a CEO position in a company with shareholders. They vote regularly and even a company's founder can get outvoted and ousted from from ruling the company and relegated to a simple dividents taking major shareholder role.
Also, why not sue that reporter for stalking? They're chaebols, why aren't they using their power to get rid of him?
