Wasn't chef before the university, in school? ML here even pulled FL's personal file here to learn about her school and to find that chef.
Anyway, I've read that manga was over the top in general. You can already see it with cartoonishly evil villains. And ML there was just there to be a perfect ML that loves and proteccs FL, with common complaints being lack of character.

More like nobody's telling them what to write.

Yes, the part about suicide is very weird. He was basically a passive secret admirer of hers since university, but they've talked only a few times total and he did nothing to win her over all these years. And after learning of her death he attempted suicide? Seriously? I hope they do his character more justice in this drama and add something extra here, because it just makes very little sense.
FL's past being the catalyst for change in her alternate future is brilliantly told though, though this trope is overused in other isekai-type media.

I really want to watch this, but I'm on remission from anorexia and can't look at Park Min Young because I feel…
Get well. And I agree, PMY's current appearance is triggering me as well for the last couple of her projects - she looks so thin. And not the kind of "I'm jealous of her body" thin, but rather unhealthy thin.

Title Death's Game Spoiler
Do you guys agree with the message of this drama?
Religious brainwashing runs deep here, I think. Also makes me think this was sponsored by SK's government - they've no plans how to lower the suicide rate among the youth, so now they're trying religious approach. Like, keep on suffering, but no dying on us, we're trying to raise demographics here!
I'm not religious though and I disagree that you should keep on suffering for others sake or in hopeless situations. A person who's suffering from a terminal disease, a person with mental health issues, a person who's being mistreated on a daily basis with no way out - why the ef should they be a target of scorn and suffer even in the "afterlife"? Maybe ML's problems aren't worth a suicide and it's good that he had a caring mother and girlfriend (though by how lonely ML was it seems they've shown lack of moral support to him when he needed it), but not everybody's situation is like that.
I think everybody has the right to their own body and can do whatever they want with it, nobody has the right to judge them. Those who had the power to help said person, but did nothing, and enablers deserve judgement though.
And I think every person is a unique individual, with unique problems, trying to level everybody to the same measure is wrong. That trolling with a helpless toddler was especially jarring, because it is commonly used as an example to shame suiciders - the child didn't get a chance to live like you did, life is precious. Personally, I think it's hypocritical and the only example it shows is that there's no god in this uncaring world if he allows innocents and children die in droves every day. ML really should ask Death that question and it better be not some bs like karma from past lives.
And it's no wonder birth rates are going down rapidly in many countries - young people don't want to birth children into this world just for them to suffer, because they don't have enough income to provide for themselves, let alone children. Again, a rhetorical question to said countries governments.

He is not a cancer patient, I think he committed suicide after finding out that the FL passed away
Was he like that in the manga?

But why? He didn’t know her in her past.

This isn’t makjang-y enough though. But villains are pretty close.

And not that it really matters, I recall him posting he’s on the spectrum. So maybe his memory’s just as good as Woo Yoon Woo’s.
Again, doesn’t apply to general population.

I love the actress tho, she's a lil cutie patootie 💕
Her infantile manner of speech is very grating on the ears. There was a similar character like her in Gaus Electronics, I’ve come to hate these fake baby doll bitches since then.

Haha why did Kang Ji Won freak out like that 😂 ?!?! They were husband - wife so she has definitely seen "it"…
Yea, they were married for many years, she already saw everything. Why yell now?

That doesn’t apply to me, I can’t even remember what specifically I did last week 😅 You’re right that you can train your memory and there are people with anomalous brains who remember every minute of their lives and suffer from this ability. But none of that applies to FL here or most of the population in general. It’s just kdrama shenanigans.

How does she remember little things in detail that happened ages ago?
Yea, that guy having a stolen coffee, pass code to a decade old condo, etc. Either she has some sort of genius photographic memory, or this is just a kdrama silliness.

This looks to be influenced by isekai wave. A loser gets transported/reborn into the past/other world/MMO/etc. with all prior life memories and they make it a goal to get the most out of new life for sure. How a shy loser suddenly starts having a completely different, assertive and confident personality is anybody's guess, but this trope is super popular. And who wouldn't want to go back to the past with foresight and try to fix past mistakes and regrets? Shoulda, woulda, coulda...
